Very nice hotel located 10-15 min from the beach with wonderful garden, small but well-maintained pool. Clean rooms but quite ineffective AC. Friendly staff.

Very good hotel

Great hotel, about 1 mile from town, bikes for rent, staff was mostly attentive, minor issues but overall would recommend. Breakfast is okay (pastries, some fruit, toast, eggs made to order). We did not eat any other meals there.

Nice hotel on La Digue

Friendly staff. Variety of the meals in the restaurant could be better. The bicycles need maintenance (we rented much better bikes for better price outside hotel)

Historic and majestic, the Château St Cloud is a Fantastic hotel with a very relaxed and pleasant atmosphere. Couldn't fault the amenities, the location, the service or anything else. Certainly a great place to stay and relax with friendly staff to accommodate any of your needs.

Avoid hotel if you have children

I don't recommend half board as the restaurant menu is choiceless. The hotel doesn't cater to children. Children are offered adult menus and are served last. If you order something a la carte, expect to wait a minimum of one hour. We had to argue over an hour to receive children's beds as the hotel manager wanted them to sleep on the floor even though we prepaid for them.

l hôtel est en travaux..beaucoup de bruit meme du burin..il n a pas de vue mer ce qui est regrettable vu le prix des suites.. a rajouter le prix des locations de vélo..la suite est splendide, bois noir style neo colonial..le mini bar hors de prix..

Château Saint Cloud : Bien, mais ...

L'hôtel est sympa : piscine, jardin bien tenu, silencieux, accueil et service au top, petit déjeuner énorme... Mais... L'hôtel est un peu vieillot et mériterait d'être un peu modernisé. Il souffre terriblement de la comparaison avec d'autres hôtels plus récents qui au même prix proposent des chambres bien plus jolies et plus romantiques. L'accueil est très chaleureux (jus de fruits frais à l'arrivée) et la patronne des lieux sait y faire avec les clients. Le service est parfait. La chambre que nous avions était située en rez de chaussée du "château". Normalement, c'est une chambre deluxe (alors que nous avions payé une standard). Elle était très grande (env 50m²). Mais le style un peu clinquant a vécu. La salle de bain proposant douche + baignoire était tout juste propre (traces de calcaire sur les murs, fuite d'eau dans les WC). On trouve un petit coin salon avec une TV à écran cathodique (c'est un détail, mais ça résume un peu). La situation de l'hôtel permet de bénéficier du calme absolu de l'île, mais il est loin de la plage et un moyen de transport est indispensable pour relier la jetée à l'hôtel. Ceci dit, l'accès en vélo se fait assez facilement. En résumé, un hôtel très correct, un peu excentré mais au rapport qualité/prix en dessous de ce qu'il est possible de trouver ailleurs. Cependant, vous ne passerez pas un mauvais séjour, loin de là.

Goed, schoon en netjes hotel

Het hotel ligt ca. 5 minuten landinwaarts, makkelijk te bereiken vanuit de haven. Dat het hotel niet aan het strand lag hebben we niet als nadeel ervaren. Netheid, ruime kamers en goed eten maken heel veel goed. Het hotel bestaat uit 3 gebouwen en een aantal kleine huisjes die zich tegen de heuvel aan bevinden. Allen gebouwd rondom het zwembad. Kamers zijn zeer netjes en modern ingericht. Ruime badkamer met dubbele wasbak en 2-persoons douche. Onze kamer lag op de 1e etage met uitzicht op het zwembad.   Zwembad is klein maar ideaal om na een dagje rondtrekken lekker in af te koelen. Restaurant is groot maar gezellig ingericht. Het avondeten is in buffetvorm. De keuze is niet groot maar de kwaliteit van het eten is goed tot zeer goed. Bij de receptie kan men heel goedkoop fietsen huren, ideaal om het kleine eiland te bezichtigen. Vriendelijkheid en servicegerichtheid van medewerkers is niet goed. Je wordt als lastig ervaren als je een vraag stelt of iets wilt laten regelen. Dit was jammer. Maar in z’n geheel was het verblijf erg goed.

wonderful gardens - a feast for the eyes

We stayed at the Chateau at the end of a 12 day holiday.It was by far the best place we stayed in.Our room was very spacious, the interiour was glorious and had a great view over the gardens. Relaxing by the pool was great once you found out where they hid the cushions! Overall, a lovely rwelaxing place to stay
