“We really enjoyed the quiet village and the house's amazing views of the volcano and lake! We saw beautiful birds everywhere. Loved the swings and the 3rd floor lookout! So peaceful. The only drawbacks were, one night the neighborhood dogs barked for an hour and we had a little trouble finding the house but Erika went out of her way to talk us through it and had her daughter meet us! Also, the first and second floor are only connected by outdoor steps. It was great for us because our teens……

“This home was exactly what we needed, close to downtown La Fortuna yet away from the noise. The house has 2 bedrooms with doble beds and TV’s and one loft with 2 twin beds. The bathroom has hot/cold water and the host provides shampoo, conditioner and shower gel. The kitchen has a full size refrigerator, a cooktop as well as the basics you need to make meals if you choose to cook. The washer and dryer were very convenient. “I cannot say enough good things about this property and its hosts. We were a group of adult friends going for my birthday and the layout of the house was like we each had our own apartments and space inside the same house. Such a fun unique setup! There was a little sloth sanctuary outside by the kitchen patio for early mornings and private jungle walking trail. So many beautiful birds, flowers, plants and the largest bamboo I’d ever seen all onsite. We were slightly worried before our stay……

“This house is beautiful. It has the best views. El Castillo is such a cute town, with some of the best food at the shops down the street (and a very good bakery). The house is very close to the lake and Arenal volcano, and about a 30-40 minute drive to the city center where you can do a bunch of different tour activities. The views are incredible! We spent some time every day sitting on the roof and looking over the rolling hills (and the volcano if we got lucky). At night, we were able to see……
