Large private villa, saltwater pool, great holiday in the Algarve

The Villa Villa Mafalda is a well maintained, warm and built in Portuguese style. The accommodation is spread over 2 floors. The kitchen, the living room, one double bedroom and a bathroom with shower are located upstairs. The stone fireplace in the living area gives it some charm. The room is served by a balcony overlooking the countryside and the private pool just down there. A marble staircase allows access to the lower floor which consists of a full bathroom, a double bedroom and a bedroom with two single beds. Both rooms of this floor have access to a terrace, lawn and pool area. Outside the villa there is a nice private recreation area of ​​approximately 200 square meters, garden, which includes a swimming pool (with Roman-style steps and saltwater), one barbecue for your outdoor dining and leisure furniture.

Wonderful villa, you need a car to get around as in a rural location however it’s a beautiful location with a supermarket a quick walk away and carvoeiro less than a five minute drive. Villa was spotless and spacious with everything we needed. Pool and outside areas are a highlight and spent most of our time at the villa outside, didn’t even switch the TV on. Vitor very responsive and helpful and his sister checked in on us a couple of times when visiting her villa just next door. Would definitely recommend this villa. Thank you Vitor!

Vitor and his sister are lovely people and make you feel very welcome , the villa is fantastic and the pool amazing, very big and refreshing. There is a large Intermarche behind the villa but you wouldn’t know and does not spoil the experience at all.I do feel however that the villa information is somewhat misleading with regards to the air conditioning, this is only in the top bedroom and the living room in the villa , the two bedrooms downstairs DO NOT have air conditioning and were ridiculously hot , this is not mentioned in the villa information as I wouldn’t have booked a property in July without air conditioning, to add to this all the beds in the property were extremely hard and uncomfortable - this is not just a moan , they really are the most uncomfortable beds we have ever stayed in.We had the villa for 2 weeks and within that time the villa was cleaned once which took a couple of hours so we stayed outside , the reason is takes so long odd it was 1 lady and Vitor , this is a large villa to clean , the beds were changed on this day and the towels also - I feel when 5 of us in the villa the beds and towels should be changed more than once in a 2 week stay , I have stayed in other similar villas where the cleaners are in every few days , new sheets and towel changes provided. The property is splendid but has lots of steps and is definitely not suitable for people with mobility issues.We didn’t hire a car but Ubers very easy to get to Carvoeiro

Relaxing stay

Impressive parking space at front of property,car is needed here. The villa is beautifully laid out and spacious. Washing room is outside of villa with drying area next to it. Thepool area is beautiful and spacious. Victor his wife and sister were always on hand if required. The large Intermarche supermarket is walking distance away,although you wouldn't realise it. We had a great time there even though weather not always great. A return visit definitely on the cards. always on hand to render assistance if required on hanhelp

Victors villa is beautiful. We had a fantastic week there . The pool was a welcome place after a day on the Marina Beach (stunning beach ) . The location is spot on - Ubers available to anywhere. And a great supermarket almost next door . (You can’t see it ) 10/10

Magnífico alojamiento y Victor un fantástico anfitrión

Pasamos una semana en familia en este magnífico alojamiento. La casa está muy cuidada y la limpieza es absoluta. Tiene todo lo necesario para disfrutar de unas magníficas vacaciones. La piscina de agua salada es estupenda, le da el sol todo el día y se está de lujo. El alojamiento se encuentra a 50 metros de un supermercado donde puedes encontrar todo lo que necesitas y a 5 min de Carvoeiro, pueblo muy bonito, con mucho ambiente y donde puedes encontrar magníficos restaurantes y bares. Con coche se llega en muy poco tiempo a todas las playas de alrededor, que merecen mucho la pena, así como la visita a las cuevas, al algar seco y a otros pequeños pueblos que se encuentran alrededor de Carvoeiro. Por último, agradecer a Victor su amabilidad, ha sido un fantástico anfitrión. !Ójala podamos volver pronto!

100 % recommend to families

Just back from a weeks vacation in this amazing villa. Very clean and welcoming. Fully equipped with everything you need to make your stay enjoyable. Situated very close to a supermarket but far enough away for it not to affect your stay. Both my children (11 & 23) found plenty to occupy them from the swimming pool to the loungers. Very quiet location and set back from the main road. The owner Vitor was lovely, very polite and friendly .. Looking forward to booking again next year.

Casa Mafalda

Sehr gepflegte und geräumige Villa. Alles vorhanden und sehr sauber. Leider führt eine Hauptstrasse in unmittelbarer Nähe vorbei was Strassenlärm verursacht. Als Ausgleich hierfür ist ein gut sortierter Supermarkt fussläufig in wenigen Minuten zu erreichen. Der Vermieter spricht nur Portugiesisch. Seine Schwester allerdings wohnt nebenan, spricht gutes Englisch und ist sehr hilfsbereit. Alles in allem ein sehr schönes Quartier.

Lovely Villa in a great location

Great villa, quiet location. Don't be put off with it being next to a supermarket. If you don't look over the hedge you don't even know it's there. We did find the beds a little hard, but other than that we couldn't fault it. Owner Vitor met us on arrival and responded very quickly to any queries we had. Definitely recommended.

Fabulous holidays at Villa Mafalda

We have spent a fabulous holidays at Villa Mafalda with two families. The villa is really well equipped, so that we wanted for nothing. The location of Villa Mafalda is great: short ways to Carvoeiro and to various other beaches. The Supermarket next-door is really great. There you can buy nearly everything but you do not take any notice when you are staying at Villa Mafalda. The support and especially the location plan to Villa Mafalda were perfect. In peace of conscience we can recommend Vitor and the villa and would like to come back again. Dear Vitor, again we want thank you very much for the beautiful holidays and many thanks for the inflatable objects for the pool. The kids have been very pleased about that. Kind regards from Germany

Very spacious , clean, fantastic pool area.

We had a lovely time in Villa Mafalda. Great peaceful location ... but easily reached by car/bus to all amenities . Inter Marche just on your doorstep was very convenient. Thank you Victor for your lovely hospitality .we were provided with a small welcome food and drink pack when we arrived very late at night . Great family holiday villa with teenagers who really made use of the pool area ! Thank you again

We had one of the best holidays at Casa Mafalda, Carvoeiro. Vitor and his wife were super lovely welcoming and helpful. The gardens and pool were fantastic and the villa had everything we needed. The bedrooms were quiet and cool at night. Thoroughly recommended and we would like to return in future.

Very enjoyable time spent at Villa Mafalda we came looking for peace and quiet and found it. The Villa is very well placed for everything in the area. On separate occasions we drove, took the bus and walked into Carvoeiro. The Villa itself is lovely and the pool area especially so. Although it was just the two of us this time we'll certainly be rebooking for our family holiday next year.

Mooie, ruime en schone villa

Heerlijke vakantie gehad in deze villa. Goede locatie, centraal gelegen in het gebied Lagoa/Carvoeiro/Silves (alles binnen een 20 minuten rijden) De eerste keer even opletten, je rijdt zo de onverharde weg voorbij die tussen 2 huizen in ligt. Handig dat de supermarkt ongeveer in de achtertuin staat (waar je overigens geen overlast van hebt, evenals de doorgaande weg). Het huis is van alle gemakken voorzien en typisch Portugees ingericht, met 3 ruime slaapkamers, 2 badkamers (1 met bad) en een heerlijk groot zwembad. In de 2 weken dat wij er waren werd er 2x schoongemaakt, schone handdoeken lagen gewoon voor de pak. Erg aardige eigenaar die helaas niet zo goed Engels sprak, maar wij dan ook weer niet zo goed Portugees. Klein minpuntje: de tuinstoelen zitten niet echt prettig voor lange mensen.
