"From the outside, a very traditional old building with a close, high on a hilly road with a bunch of steps. Indoors beautifully modernized, very spacious rooms, all mod cons, including washer dryer. Well worth the climb, and views of the town and surrounding hills spectacular. I only regret we stayed but one night."

"Great place for our overnight stay en route St Andrews! The property is on third floor and whilst it looks a bit small ( will admit we were a bit unsure) as soon as you open the door into the penthouse, it is welcoming, warm and cosy! It is bigger than we thought and had all we needed for our stay. We walked about the town and there was plenty of places to eat and 2 spars and a coop for essentials. We had a nice drink at Howard Arms (dog friendly) and then a curry take out.Kelly was responsive...

"Teviot Cottage was very comfortable and well appointed. It is in a great spot being walking distance to the High Street. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom had a great shower. It was good having a second toilet downstairs. It would be helpful if there were some hooks in the bathroom either behind the door or on the wall."

"The property was clean and well taken care of. There was plenty of firewood to heat the hot tub and have a fire. The cabins were comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay. The only issue we had was on check-in, we never got the email that gave us access to the cabin. Luckily, the landowner was walking around at 9:30 p.m. and was able to let us into the cabin. I definitely wish we could have a few more days there. It was definitely worth the price"

"We loved sitting out on the patio area, watching the goings on around the place, the tv wasn’t on at all. Visited Brampton for some excellent food and loved the Lanercost Priory when we visited there. Miltonrigg woods was just 2 minutes drive for a lovely dog walk as well. Could have done with a parasol on the patio when the sun was strongest but our intention was met for a few days of chilling. The staff were all friendly and we had a lovely breakfast at the cafe on our departure. "

We received the passcode by text, and a response TO that text went unanswered as well. Extremely disappointed. Will not use Vrbo again."
