「The Hotel does need renovation to compete with newly build hotel chain. The room size is descend, but the furniture is old and has many scratch. If can do some renovation, I am sure can bring back many more customers.」

「I stayed here for two nights recently for an event nearby at Blackpit Brewery. The hotel is clean, comfortable and quiet at night. Breakfast was good and I would stay here again.」

「A very lovely stay. Loved the different pets that they had also, added an extra touch to the stay that made it very unique. My son and I liked the comfortable accommodation and pleasant surroundings.」

「Nice mid-range hotel with excellent spa (best treatments we’ve had, at very fair price, though no pool). Excellent dinner in restaurant & good breakfast. Our room was on 3rd floor and, being an old building, there’s no lift. Room was ok, though a ‘standard’ double, not a queen / king. There’s no air-con, but a good floor standing fan. Good sized bathroom with large shower. We will certainly return here as the spa & food are so good. 」

「Super quiet location, rooms were beautifully done and recently refurbished. Very much liked the underfloor heating in the bathroom and super comfy bed. The communal area and restaurant were closed when we visited but there is a fab deli, 2 mins up road and linked to wider Castle Ashby estate. Overall a gem of a hotel and ideal for quiet break to relax and refresh. 」
