“The room was not clean. There was a stain on the bedspread. Outside on the balcony, the armchair was torn and there was no cover for it, so I couldn’t sit on it. The chairs outside were also very dirty, and there was a terrible smell on the balcony. The table outside was broken. Inside, there was also a problem with the toilet—every time I used it and came out, water would be left all over the floor.”

“Hotel Cavalier is a clean & efficient hotel. The rooms are spacious, the balconies lovely to have, the bathrooms have all the necessary amenities, the beds are quite comfortable & the air conditioning very welcome with Beirut’s humidity. The staff at the front desk were very helpful & friendly. If you need a solid hotel room centrally located you can’t go wrong here. Any down sides? The breakfast buffet wasn’t regularly served (too few guests at this time); there was no cable TV, fitness room……
