“The most important detail to review is that this apartment is in the basement of a house currently being lived in by the host.The ad does not represent that.Therefore, the hot tub is on the deck of the house he and his family habitate and the pool is not private either, and was closed at 9pm.We didn’t use either pool or hot tub for the reasons of perceived lack of privacy and the timeliness of their availability. “The host and hostess were the best; they took wonderful care of my needs. My only concern was coming "home" after dark; i had a little trouble seeing in the partial dark. But I was told ( not by my hosts) that Northport has a request to keep the light level low. The property was not as I expected, but it was perfect for me; I loved it and appreciated the facilities, the host and hostess, the location. Thank you to my hostess and host for a very wonderful experience.”

“Absolutely loved my stay here! The property was well maintained, clean, and an easy walk to downtown Fishtown. I’d definitely stay here again and it made our trip all the more special.The smallest little item I’d recommend the owners keep on hand is more blankets, but again, not a huge issue at all since we stayed in the summer. “We had an amazing experience! It was the perfect place to use as our home base as we explored Sleeping Bear Dunes National Seashore. We fell in love with the quaint little shops on Front Street in Empire, which were just a short walk away from the property. And oh, that private beach... stunning! I'll always remember sitting on the perfectly clean shore, with a glowing campfire, enjoying a glass of Michigan wine, while watching the pristine waters of Lake Michigan gently lapping on the sand……
