Perfect beach getaway in Lewes
We loved our stay at the Birdhouse in Lewes, Delaware in June 2023! The house and all appliances are brand new and worked perfectly. We were a group of three for a beach weekend, however the house has bedrooms and dining space for up to 10 people. It would be a great house for a group of friends or a larger family; we will definitely come back with a larger group to fully enjoy the house! The furniture and interior decor were beautiful, high-end, and created a relaxing environment. The beds were so comfortable and the bathrooms were fully stocked with nice products and towels. There were several spaces set up for working from home with spare monitors and strong wifi; there is a separate office as well as desks with monitors in a few of the bedrooms. Our favorite part of the house was the screened in sunroom where we enjoyed happy hour drinks before going out to dinner in Lewes.
The house is a 3 minute drive (or 10 minute walk) from most of the restaurants in town and about 5 minutes drive from Lewes beach. The owners shared an awesome list of their favorite restaurants and beaches, which we relied on and loved. The restaurants in Lewes were delicious and had the friendliest staff. We also ventured to Rehoboth, however we preferred the relaxed, quaint vibe of Lewes to the busy Rehoboth area and would come back to Lewes. My family loved our long weekend at the house and we will certainly rent this house again! Thanks for a wonderful weekend and stay :)
