Council Bluffs Lewis and Clark Monument and Scenic Overlook Hotels

"Front desk staff was great, my rating for staff is for the manager who tried to tell me he didnt have any bath tub stoppers. The first room i was given was dirty the floor had crumbs everywhere, the lights were flickering non stop, and bath tub stopper was missing.I went to the front desk and asked for a new room which the ladybwas very helpful and gave me a new room.I go and take my items to the new room and try to relax and take a bath and the bath tub stopper was missing from the second room as well, so I go back to the front desk and now the manager is there I tell him both of the rooms dont have the stoppers and he told me unfortunately we are out and dont have anymore. I couldn't belive he would tell a fib like that so I gave him a little push back and he then told me to wait at the counter and went and took a stopper from another room which was too small and didnt even fit my bathtub in my room."

"Clean and affordable hotel with a standard breakfast. The room itself was fine and generally well kept for the price. However, the pillows were thick and very hard. After sleeping on them, I developed neck pain and eventually had to visit a chiropractor to fix it. This was the only major downside, but it significantly affected the stay."

"Nice hotel right across from the College World Series park. Close to restaurants and 10 minutes from the airport."

"Airport shuttle handy and on time. Room construction next door to our room until 6:00 pm a little annoying, but at least it quit"

"Beautiful building. TV’s aren’t smart TV’s and no option for movie rentals. No fan’s in bathrooms & no usb ports for charging devices. Beds are very comfortable. "

"Pretty clean hotel in the heart of downtown. You're close to pretty good restaurants within walking distance, old town is right there for you to take a stroll through. Rooms are pretty clean, fairly modern, and the multi-story parking underneath is great if you're traveling through or are visiting the city for work."

"Rooms were clean and beds were very comfortable. Looks like hotel has been recently updated. We checked in at 1:30 am after a long delayed flight. Check in staff failed to tell us that you needed to lift up on door handle to open it rather than down like most doors. We were on the 4th floor at the very end and had to go all the way back down to the desk. Her only comment was you need to lift up on the handle so you are good to go. In am on check out, staff seems put off that we asked for a receipt since we booked with Expedia. Told us they had to pay Expedia a fee and that we should’ve booked thru the hotel instead. "
