"The bad stars for the individual parts (cleanliness, staff, amenities) don't tell the full story of how great this place was as a whole. For European travellers this is a must as it gives such a great glimpse of old school Americana holidays...cabins, tents, airstreams by the river, a shared pool, BBQ utensils and fixed BBQs in front of every property, s'mores before under the stars. What a great time to have!!! Location was great, some food alternatives nearby (Tony's greek food truck 5 mins drive as well as a local market for anything you might need). Our room wasn't perfectly clean, but it's a cabin near a river..can't expect that to be sparkling. One thing I wasn't happy about...there is an amenity fee for the various offerings (WiFi, pool, bike rental, Tesla charging, granola breakfast bar) that everyone has to pay even if you don't use these amenities, and in my mind that wasn't clearly advertised (usual side notes on the description)..why not make it part of the price to pay in the first place? I did laugh at checkin when the lady told me about the complimentary granola bar...I told her "it's not complimentary when you pay for it!!!)"

"I was very impressed. All I needed was a bed and a shower for a late arrival and an early departure. I chose it because the price was attractive, but I worried that I might find the Bates Motel upon arriving. It looks like new construction and a large building. I will gladly stay there again. "A 10/10 experience from start to finish. Was one of those places that somehow exceeds the photos, and we left already talking about when we could come back. The highlight for us was swimming in the freshwater canyons nearby, genuinely one of the most fun afternoons we’ve had on any trip. Cool, clear water, gorgeous scenery, and the kind of thing you just don’t get at a typical hotel. We also saw a ton of wildlife around the property, which made every walk feel like a small adventure. Then at night the stars come out and it’s a whole other reason to be here. Very little light pollution, so you get that full sky you forget exists until you’re standing under it. The staff deserve a special mention. Warm, welcoming, and genuinely happy to help with anything — recommendations, directions, logistics. They made the whole stay feel effortless."
