“Very close to Linville Falls walking trails and just off the designated blue ridge parkway access road. It had heating which was great for drying clothes and on a very wet and windy night. Very large and comfy bed. There were no coffee/tea making facilities in room and you had to go to the reception building (separate and no undercover route) to get hot water (and take your own instant coffee/tea). There was a fridge and microwave in the room but no crockery/cutlery. Building was reasonably……

“Planned a short getaway to hike Mount Mitchell and this place could not have been more perfectly located to the trailhead. The Lodge is newly built, and ground are impeccably well maintained. The staff was super helpful. They even came by to drop off a lighter so the firepit could be put to use. They have a common use area with a ktichen and grills that can be utilized which is an added bonus as I don’t recall reading about all they had available to make the stay above and beyond expectations.……
