The lady checking in was very sweet and had good customer service. The only complaint we had was that the room next to us the alarm was going off for about 10 minutes and we called the front desk to let her know and she took care of it. Other than the alarm waking us up at 3AM, the rooms were very clean.

It was an okay stay, however on the first night we were frantically awakened by the fire alarm at 6:00am, then again at 10:00am. We were told that the facility is in the process of changing ownership and that several issues are being left unresolved as a result. We were unaware and surprised that the rooms do not have drawers for clothing, our toilet was unstable and needs to be secured to the floor, the bar was inadequately stocked, the bar tender was unskilled, but a nice young man, he tried. The head cook was very nice, helpful & inviting. Also I had to kill a rather large cockroach on the bathroom wall. Overall the staff was nice and helpful, no issue there, however the place needs a lot of attention, and that starts from the TOP! There are more things I can mention but I’m running out of character space. With all the issues I’m speaking of and also NOT mentioning in this review, there was no discussion of price adjustment, we still paid the asking rate, and we did not receive equal accommodations. One last thing, my wife wanted to use the exercise room, but it was being used as a storage space. Again, the staff tried, but they’re only working with what they have. Ownership/Management needs to do better and step up!! This was my 2nd stay at this location, Oct 2024 and this year. My wife, son and I were in town for our yearly family reunion, and we are considering staying elsewhere in 2026 if these conditions are not corrected. I welcome a response to this review.

All staff we encountered were very nice and pleasant. The stay was good. Our only issue was dinning at the inside restaurant breakfast. Food was not good. We sent it all back. Staff was very nice about it.

Disappointments of Hotel Angler

This is the third try in your hotel. The grounds are unkept. Fire alarm went off twice for no reason. There is no decor in rooms to make it feel homey. One chair in room with beds Second time we were unable to get into rooms due to key issues so had to wait for access to rooms There are no amenities in rooms except refrig. (coffee maker, microwave, etc. are not in rooms) Enter Doors on sides of building did not close so easy for someone to come in and get on elevator without hotel knowing. Not very safe.

Lovely hotel clean and nice bar staff. Unfortunately noise from the water heater kept us awake. REFUND was promised for half the nights stay and never processed. Hotel are now saying that it was not offered. Wouldnt recommend here as NO customer service level at all

Overall the accommodations were decent. There was a faint smell of cigarette smoke. The facility would benefit from an ozone treatment to eradicate the unpleasant smells.
