We enjoyed our stay at Aaraya Hotel. It was just a short walk from Paddington Station and Hyde Park. Rooms were cute and clean. They were in the middle of renovating the rooms so they had to switch us out of our room that fit our family of 5 part way through our stay, but they gave us two rooms beside each other for no extra cost. They have No eating area at the hotel so you have to plan to eat out. One gem that we found just a couple blocks away was The Stable Hand. Excellent food and service.

If you want a place to sleep that's clean and a good value, this is a good choice. Two blocks from Paddington and two blocks fron Lancaster Gate Central Line stop, on a nice street. A no-frills place with no lobby or any other amenities, but very comfortable beds.

The first impression was that the rooms smelt of damp plaster. It was like a building site - the place looked like it was being done up, with guests still on site. Our room was in the basement and very small. Looking out the window all you could see was builders debris and the worst thing was the noise from the room above, you could hear everything and I mean everything! even though the other guests were not that noisy. They did however get up at 6.00am and once they were awake we were awake! The hotel was also advertised as supplying breakfast - but we were told they stopped doing it. Also the fire door at the top of the stairs labelled 'Keep Closed' was held open at all times. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

This property is rather small but satisfactory for the needs of most travelers. The staff shows to be extremely helpful and the property is conveniently located to transportation links. This is our second stay and would stay again.

Not bad for the price
Great location, clean. We opted for triple rooms on a business trip and stayed one person per room.
The beds are comfortable and even if the hotel is by a main road it was very quiet at night and I slept very well. Good coffee, tea facilities in the room and lots of places to ear nearby. The hotel does need renovating but is acceptable for a night or two business trip on a budget.

Near to Paddington train station
Well located for Paddington train station and the underground. There is no lift in this multi-floor hotel. The only other small issues relate to a dirty tea cup and no teaspoons in the room although reception did sort out the issue when informed.

Good stay
Stayed for 2 nights single room. I had a double bed in the basement, parts of the wall had been plastered but not painted which wasn't a problem. Room was spacious, I think I was lucky getting this room and can't comment on a single bedroom. I would stay there again but don't think I would be so lucky with the room.

We had a horrible stay at Aaraya Hotel. When we arrived at the hotel to check in there was no receptionist. We had to wait for 15 minutes for someone to show up. It was 9:30pm and my kids were exhausted from traveling. Then the room that they gave us was in the basement and very dark and stuffy. When we tried to open the window we saw that there was 10 old mattresses stacked in front of the window along with several empty cans of paint. It was so trashy! When I walked into the bathroom I saw that the cleaner had forgotten to pick up a large ball of dirty toilet paper on the floor in the corner. So so gross. Definitely disappointed with this hotel. Do not stay here!

It was not clean very tiny, no air-conditioned, only fans, no lifts u have to used the stairs we had to go up those stairs it was hot dusty n 4 flights of narrow. Very claustrophobic. The front desk guy was very nice. Outside of our window was broken glass. Terrible place to stay.

Typical overpriced London cracker box
Typical tiny London hotel room, fourth floor with unsafe steep and narrow stairway. All for 200 a night. Is this what London has become? If so, I have no desire to return.

The hotel is very very worn, and lacks traditional amenities such as additional pillows if needed. The staff is lovely, being close to Paddington and Hyde park is great. They provided a bagged breakfast with fruit, granola bars, yogurt and a croissant. It served it's purpose, adjust your expectations.

Very average hotel in the Paddington area, but most of them are to be fair. If you’re looking for a decent enough budget place then this place is fine. No elevator, no AC, no iron-ironing board. But the room was quiet enough.

There is no elevator. We had to carry our heavy luggage up 4 flights of stairs. The rooms are extremely small and the beds are impossible to sleep on.

The location of this property was quite good. There was no elevator and we had to haul our luggage up three or four flights of stairs, to a very very crowded room with a small bathroom. You could only open the shower door partway before it hit the sink. breakfast was served in a brown takeaway bag. The croissant was stale and the rest of the breakfast was quite uninspirational. They claimed that the breakfast room was under renovation, but when we went downstairs to collect our baggage that next evening the breakfast room was clearly not under renovation. This was the most money we spent on any hotel on our three week adventure, and it was a great disappointment.

Lovely place, the bathroom is a little small, but overall, everything is good! Friendly staff and clean! Also, the breakfast they give in the bag with lots of variety of food.

We were placed on the third floor of a narrow staircase and it was very hard to get up and down. No elevator. The Bathroom is tight and the shower head was broken, I asked day one, they said they would check it but nothing was done while we were there.
