"We've been staying at Hotel Burbank twice a year for at least 3 or 4 years. It has everything going for it EXCEPT they will not give you daily room cleaning service. All I really want is fresh towels and wastebaskets emptied. I don't think this is asking too much. Hotels did this before Covid, but now they are iffy because it saves them money by hiring fewer staff.
Hotel Burbank tells you that all you need to do is request service the day before you want. So on check in, I ask and they assure me they are noting it down and it doesn't happen! I end up calling the front desk or stopping people servicing the empty rooms to get fresh towels. On the other hand, I'm saving money on the tip I put out that never gets picked up because no one comes.
The location is great -- you can walk to nice restaurants and shops. The hotel itself offers some decent food choices.
I'd give it higher marks if they would simply fulfill their promise of serving the room."
