This place !!!!!!!!!! Was amazing , I came across it while looking for a get away. The staff is excellent, the room was very clean, it’s in the heart of everything in hermosa beach and walking distance away from most food places. I got the penthouse suite , the view of watching the sunset on the roof top was breathe taking. This place felt like home to be honestly, it was calm, quiet and very relaxing and the staff was truly exceptional. Thank you again SW !!!

Wonderful! Excellent location steps from Hermosa Beach pier, restaurants, bars, and shops. The room and entire hotel was spotless, comfortable, relaxing, and decorated with fabulous chic and style. We would love to stay at SW Beach Hotel again!

Our room called Ocean Pearl was pretty small and had no windows. Did not have a microwave. Strangely, the bathroom was huge. Also had no refrigerator but did have two wine coolers that we used for a refrigerator. The bed, although okay, was actually a Murphy bed. I saw other rooms and they were bigger and better. The roof garden on top of the building was great. Very big with barbecues. In our entire time there we never saw anyone at the front desk although the phone was answered quickly the two times we called. The location was magnificent and the price was good. I imagine the other rooms were probably more expensive but might be worth it as ours really was a little too small. Because of the great location and price we would return.

The location of the property is great — very close to the beach, and the rooftop is really nice. The complimentary bicycles are also a good addition. However, the Coastal Suite was extremely small. It was also very noisy, and the bed felt quite worn out. The room has only one window, which opens directly into the bar area. From my perspective, this is quite questionable, especially regarding privacy and security. Communication was only possible via email, and there was no responsible person on-site. None of my complaints were addressed — I only received automated standard responses, which was very disappointing. Overall, this feels more like a B&B than a hotel. While the price was acceptable given the location, I personally would choose a place slightly farther away next time to get a larger and more comfortable room.

Location is great, check in is very easy! Found the room to be ok only. Lotion provided in room was rancid/old and needed to be replaced. Shampoo wasn’t great either and I had to rewash my hair with product I bought nearby. I would recommend if you want an affordable option in the area and don’t care about “fancy”.

Nice area for sure would stay again different room The room I had was basic no windows unfortunately there was an odd mildew smell and for some reason annoying fruit flies. But it was ok for 1 night as fire pits up stairs couldn't get to enjoy perhaps next time.
