「Thanks to the Hall's for opening there home to us. This place is within a short hike to Reid State Park which means not only did we have a great veiw of rhe ocean from the house but we also took advantage of the 1 mile beach at the end of the driveway. There were plenty of things in the house for a comfortable day at the beach. We enjoyed seeing seals right from the living room and watching the sunrises from the big rocks at the waters edge. All in all a great stay.」

「This is our second stay at Shimmering River Retreat. Property is private with a pool and large dock. Jessica quickly responds to any questions. Well equipped home, with the bonus of additional common and sleeping space in the other building. Definitely would recommend for a large group!」

「As advertised, except for the "walking distance to downtown." It's over a mile, no sidewalks, very hilly bendy road, difficult for cars and the plethora of work trucks to see you. We had some elderly folks planning to stroll into town, but that was a hard no. Maybe ok if you're young and active, but certainly don't plan on safely walking home at night. Otherwise, a pleasant old place. 」
