"Its the mandarin oriental what more can I say a 5 star luxury hotel the staff is exceptional transportation provided to the subway station with easy access to shopping and the bund hotel restaurants are great"
"I’m a NYC-based traveler in my late 20s and was looking for a convenient place while visiting family nearby. This hotel offers mini apartment-style rooms equipped with a hot plate, fridge, laundry access, and a gym, which makes it an excellent value—especially for longer-term stays. Also extremely convenient location a few minute walk from metro line 10 - which gets you to the bund in <25 mins.
What truly stood out was the reception staff on the second floor. I’ve stayed at five-star hotels across several countries, and the service here was super warm and extremely accommodating to my requests during my 4+ night stay. While I do speak Mandarin, the staff also had some English ability. I’m especially grateful to 曾湘媛 and 陈轩, who went above and beyond to help me with two major favors during my visit.
The guests were a nice mix of young international and Chinese travelers, creating a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. I was pleasantly surprised to see there was a common area, it’s perfect for studying or grabbing a coffee—and the gym was also very well-equipped, with solid lifting equipment and even a reformer machine. I didn’t get a chance to try the seafood restaurant this time, but it looked promising and I look forward to visiting on my next stay.
The room itself was very clean with new amenities. Housekeeping wasn’t provided daily, but I actually appreciated the added privacy and didn’t mind at all."
"I stayed on the 30th floor facing the river and the view as spectacular facing the river bend. It is a beautiful property and well maintained with great service. Staff is polite and attentive. I also received the club level services where i receive complementary breakfast, afternoon snake and lite fare for dinner. Overall, it was a pleasant and enjoyable 6 -day stay. "
