“A lovely gem of a pub with a fantastic restaurant and friendly staff/hosts. A very enjoyable stay and will definitely return. Stayed in the largest of the three bedrooms. Very characterful and with a freestanding bath in the bedroom, decent double shower in bathroom and 2 comfortable swivel chairs in bedroom. It was very comfortable. Showing a little sign of wear and tear but not major. Only downside in bathroom was no overflow for sink, so no plug but it wasn’t a major issue. Had been twice……

“Everything about this hotel was great. The staff who welcomed us with a glass of Prosecco and advice about where to go and eat. To the beautiful room, lovely and spacious and very clean. “Had a lovely 2 night stay at Compton guesthouse. Clean and comfortable very large room with ensuite bathroom (including a bathtub) lovely victorian building. “We enjoyed our stay in this lovely apartment. Ideally located for our Alton Towers trip. Lots of nice restaurants in Leek too. Apartment was very comfortable, beds comfy too with crisp white linen and towels. Good instructions for entry. Some more information about bins etc would have been good. WiFi was a bit iffy at times but didn’t hugely impact on us. Connection instructions weren’t correct but we worked it out eventually. Would consider staying again when next visiting Alton Towers. ”
