"Regarding cleanliness, in general the cottage was very clean (i.e. kitchen, bedrooms, baths spotless), however there was a pet odor that pervaded the place. It led us to avoid the sitting room area and we booked other stays this trip at venues that did not permit pets. Regarding service - instructions were e-mailed regarding the cottage heating being on a timer, however, during two of the evenings of our stay the heat did not kick on. "Amazing hotel. We had a wonderful stay. The restaurant at the clubhouse was superb with stunning views (lovely that the shuttle takes and picks you up). The bell team charged our electric vehicle which was very convenient. The breakfast was wonderful with excellent choices. Our spa massages were superb. Golf will be on our agenda next time since the courses look great (we played St Andrews this visit). "
