“Pool war toll”

“There is an issue with heating and cooling. Couldn't find a temperature that wasn't too hot or too cold. The shower has zero water pressure. I could barely rinse the shampoo out of my hair and that is after you get past the broken shower door handle and dirty floor. I don't know who they hired to paint, but they didn't care where the paint landed. It made it look like they just didn't care about the place. Our friends in another room had stink bugs crawling on their curtains. Not just a few,……

“The manager is rude. There was kids and drunk people being loud in the hallway, causing my dog to bark, and I got in trouble. I had to take my dog with me everywhere because she was threatening to kick me out, and I didn’t have anywhere else to go I did apologize and the people I seen in the hallway that I apologize to weren’t upset whatsoever so I’m confused who was complaining? It says online there’s a pool but the fire department shut it down last year.”

“I enjoyed the proximity to Route 66 and the long sidewalk next to the prairie for long walks.”

“It was a good location and served our needs for a night”

“The TV and internet were out.”

“The man at the front desk was friendly, both at check in and check out.”

“very interesting occupants”

“The castle was perfect! My son was getting married and the groomsmen and their ladies all spent the weekend there. The bridal party took their wedding photos there. Amazing place! Very fun! Property is lovely!”

“The house it self was great! Great location, clean with decent size rooms. But the beds were too soft and didn’t provide neck or back support. And the bathroom in the closet isn’t very functional. Everyone in our family is tall and there was no leg room. The hosts were great with communication and gave clear instructions.”

“The downtown Alton location is cozy, quiet, and comfy. It is just a few blocks from excellent food and shops on the riverfront. The apartment is cozy and we cooked a meal there every day over the week stay. Love the bathroom!”

“Oh my word this place is incredible. Bed was comfortable great location and the original aspects of the old building brought up to date with modern convenience. I think Jennifer and I will be getting more acquainted because I have a hard time finding a decent place to stay when I come to my hometown to visit. Carlinville is good little town close to my hometown and made attending my best friends wedding in Gillespie a breeze. We will be back.”

“Wonderful stay! This home is beautiful. Our hosts Sandy and Jim were gracious and it was a pleasure to be with them for the evening. Highly recommended!”
