"Great place for a short stay. Generous room size. Pleasant and helpful staff. Location is superb, very central and walkable to places and it has supermarket next door which is very handy. Stay included breakfast with reasonable choices. Shower facilities needs maintenance as water pressure was very low, everything else is good and room had massive wardrobes and a lovely balcony."

"A lovely small hotel situated above Funchal near the main cable car station. The views over Funchal to the sea are very special. Exceptionally friendly, kind and helpful staff. The breakfast is generous and varied. We had a comfortable and well equipped suite which had its own small balcony and a patio shared with a neighbouring suite. "Great, clean stay in a great location in Funchal. Sergio is a great host. There is no parking but there are garages close by for very cheap 24 hour parking. My only complaint was that the pillows were very cheap and uncomfortable so I used the blanket as a pillow. "

"We stayed here in fall 2023. Location is very convenient to Ribiera Brava (5 minutes by car; we did not take a bus). Great restaurants in town Beautiful clifftop views of the ocean. Private pool (for the 3 units). Very nice ocean view balcony for wine etc. Make sure you let the hosts know when you are arriving as they need to open the front gate (our fault!). Ample parking inside the gate. Wonderful clean facilities. Breakfasts excellent in a common kitchen (too many choices…the pastries...

"Wonderful location, run by genuinely lovely people. We took the self catering apartment option and it suited us down to the ground. Slightly remote if you are not fully mobile. We did not want to hire a car, so used taxis a lot. We were given a driver's number and received excellent service. There is a handy bus service into Funchal."
