Awesome location!

This property was a dream! The cottage was clean and well furnished. Sunrises, walks on the beach, and a full rainbow over Lake Michigan-we can’t wait to come back!

It’s a bit deceiving that you aren’t alone. Besides the neighbors it was a great stay. The managers were very helpful! House was clean!

Thimbleberry Cottage

What a beautiful piece of paradise. The pictures do absolutely no justice of how gorgeous the place is. Everything was nothing less than amazing. Very easily could’ve hung around the cottage for a few days without going anywhere. We had everything we needed and more. Will definitely be returning in the future when visiting the U.P. again!!

A welcoming place and beautiful view

The cottage is very comfortable and clean, with a wall of windows for the best view of the lake and forest, and a big deck for relaxing on and for stargazing. Driving directions and household notes were clear and made the entire stay easy and relaxing! Everything in the house was clean and comfortable for good nights' sleep as well! Thank you.

Quiet getaway

This property is perfect for a quiet getaway! The home is spacious, clean and well appointed. We were in need of nothing. The views are breathtaking and the beach is clean and easy to walk. The rustic drive is just that! Bringing low riding vehicles or trailers would not be easy! We enjoyed the 5.5 minute bumpy ride to the main road, it makes the adventure feel more secluded! We will definitely book again if we are in the area!

A lovely property

This is a lovely, clean, well appointed property. The beds are comfortable, the kitchen has newer dishes, and the two living rooms provide ample room. The beach views are stunning! The beach itself is a combination of rocks and sand, with a rocky landing as you first get into the water, but it becomes sandy a further ways out. To get to the beach you do have to go down a sandy hill that might be challenging for young children & older adults with mobility issues to manage. It is a very quiet and serene property, but be aware it is remote. The driveway to get to the property is not the easiest to traverse, especially if one had a compact car. Even though the property says it is in Manistique, it is actually about 20-25 minutes from town. Given its remote location, the WiFi was not always reliable and ran very slowly much of the time. It was concerning at points when it would stop working altogether, given there would be no way to call out in case of an emergency. It seems a though the property may still be on the newer side, as none of the bedrooms in the basement have closet rods installed and there is exposed metal edging in the basement where the carpet is yet to be completed. It would be helpful to install additional towel bar/hooks in the bathroom, as it only has one of each presently. Overall, would definitely stay at this property again with the comfort, cleanliness and amazing lake views that it offers!
