We had a great time at this cozy apartment in Marktrodach, The bedrooms were spacious and comfortable, and the kids loved the play area outside, The location is ideal for exploring the countryside, and we even took a day trip to Prague, which was a bit of a drive but totally worth it!

Het huisje in Marktrodach is een prima uitvalslocatie om Franken te verkennen. De eigenaren zijn aardig en behulpzaam. Vanuit het huisje verscheidene trips ondernomen Bamberg, Bayreuth, basiliek Vierzehnheiligen, zwembad in Coburg, indoor speeltuin in Lichtenfels, Kronach (mooie burcht met mueseum), Kulmbach, met het museumtreintje mee (alleen op zondag) en wandelen op de oude grens met de DDR. Ook de Frankische Schweiz met schitterende natuur en de Feengrotten in Saalfeld (Thüringen) zijn prima bereikbaar. De afstanden zijn nooit groot, maar de reistijd bedraagt toch snel een uur. Ook om het huis is voor kinderen van alles te doen (pas wel op voor teken in het gras). Ook is er speelgoed aanwezig, waar onze kinderen dankbaar gebruik van hebben gemaakt. In tegenstelling tot de beschrijving is er wel degelijk wifi in het huisje beschikbaar. Het comfort vonden we iets minder. De bedden zijn hard en de banken zitten niet lekker. Ook als je zelf wilt koken zou de keuken over iets meer spullen kunnen beschikken. Al met al hebben wij hier twee weken fijn vakantie gevierd.
