"Good breakfast selection, service was a bit slow. Bar was okay but didn’t really have any atmosphere. The restaurant seats close to the large windows looking out over the garden were FREEZING and uncomfortable to sit and eat at. Needs heating and better windows with insulation / sealing. "

"We were meant to have breakfast but there wasn’t a lot of options for my husband so we ate out instead. Some of the plugs sockets were coming out of the walls which worried me. We enjoyed our stay and the room was lovely. The fire alarm went off I don’t know if this was a test or what. If it was a test then I would pic a different day as people ste resting but if it wasn’t then I think maybe a phone call to rooms to make people aware. We would return and recommend the hotel but just a few things to mention "

"Hotel is lovely with a great setting on the river, staff were very helpful and friendly, breakfast was first class, as was the Evening meal, did feel that the tables in the restaurant were a bit dated so a cloth to cover the table would have made it look so much nicer, I appreciate that the building is very old and had I known how noisy it was going to be I would have asked for an upstairs room, you could hear every step because the floorboards were very creaky and none of room doors had a soft close mechanism so there was constant door banging, it would also have been helpful if all guests could be reminded to be considerate by keeping the noise down when returning to there rooms late at night on the information sheet in the room. Having said all that it is a beautiful place in a great location and I will definitely be returning in a few months. Thank you "

"Nice place, rooms very basic though and more like a travel lodge. Everything else is nice though "

"The cleanliness was awful. The room smelt terrible, there was mold by the windows. The toilet had yellow stains. There was haur in the bath. Clothes were still left in the cupboard. The shower didnt ket you change the temperature. The continektal breakfast consisted of cheese and ham. Despite all this, the staff were lovely and the view was amazing. The restaurant only had one member of staff, but she was super helpful."
