"Delightful hotel, not easy to find though, just know its along the river! Very old fashioned but superbly maintained and its part of the charm. Onsen was fabulous, staff were all ultra accommodating. Organised a massage in my room, incredible. Shout out to Yoko, who looked after me at mealtimes, shes a star!"

However we were surprised at the extra charges for two futons for our children at ¥3000 a piece as well as the ¥3000 late arrival fee, which made it much more expensive than we originally thought. "Everything was perfect. After a long day of sightseeing I felt very comfortable in my room. And it was a good walk from Fukui Station. Only a 10 min walk. Staff were very friendly and helped me shipped my luggage."
