I do not recommend this hotel for anyone coming for Umrah or visiting the Holy Mosque.
One of the main reasons I booked this hotel was because it advertised a complimentary shuttle service to the Haram. However, upon check-in, I was told that there is no shuttle service during Ramadan and that I should use public transportation instead (they pointed to the buses outside). These buses had extremely long lines, were overcrowded, and the boarding process felt very disorganized, with people being pushed and treated poorly by the organizers. This was not a comfortable or acceptable option for me.
To make things more confusing, one of the check-in staff mentioned that a shuttle comes 15 minutes before prayer time, but when I asked the main hotel entrance staff, he clearly said there is no shuttle service during Ramadan and only public transportation is available. This lack of clear information was frustrating.
As a result, I had to rely on taxis, where you have to negotiate prices with drivers who often try to overcharge due to the high demand (50-100 saudi riyals for one way trip) Uber was also a hassle, as many drivers seemed to prefer arranging private cash rides at higher prices rather than using the app.
Overall, transportation was a major inconvenience, and I received very little guidance from the hotel on how to manage it.
The room itself was in good condition, but the surrounding area is not convenient unless you have your own car.
