“We were on first floor, handicap accessible room. Carpet was heavily deteriorated/torn where it stops at the bathroom. Our non-smoking room smelled like 63 years of nonstop chainsmoking as soon as we entered. Pillows felt like they had 4 feathers inside them.... each (i mean... at least they were soft i suppose). They provided 4 pillows... and we appreciated all 16 feathers during our stay. Wifi access did not work for us during our stay. The toilet wobled "to-and-fro" and someone thought it……

“I felt very unsafe at this location. My room was towards back of property. When I entered the back door with a sign saying for your safety this door is kept locked at all times. Ironic as the latch was broken off and the door did not latch in any way!! I did get the very helpful housekeeping manager Jennifer to move me to the front of the building closer to the front desk and I bring my own security lock when traveling. I stayed the 1 night but if you’re traveling by yourself I don’t recommend……

“Room needed updating, it was fine for me to stay, but just wanted to go to sleep. Would not have stayed a second ”

“The place was gross! Floor was slippery, like it had never been mopped. There was a cockroach in my room. The shower was filthy.”

“The room was livable but had several problems. The fridge was frosted to the point of not working. The pool area had a trash can that was full for three days. The staff was friendly enough but when a noise issue was reported their actions was ineffectual.”

“There are bugs both on the bed and in the bathroom, and the floor is very dirty.”

“Our only concern, as seniors, was the steep stairs. We were in a downstairs room one night, with stairs down to the first floor. Then we moved to a second floor room, with even steeper stairs. Perhaps a dumb waiter to help with luggage? But the property is lovely, beautifully appointed rooms, excellent service, wonderful staff. Highly recommend!”

“The breakfast was not consistent, but there was a wide variety. I think for being a Michelin star it should’ve had homemade pastries not store-bought. I also feel like it should’ve had a small microwave in the room and makeup wipes or makeup towel or something to clean your face with. The bedding was amazing Mattress a bit soft for our taste, but that’s a hard one to get right.”
