"Room was very cozy but you could tell it's slightly dated. Outlets were a bit finnicky: only 1 of 2 on the nightstand worked but they didn't fit most of our plugs anyway, the ones on the far wall were loose and didn't hold most of our plugs, only half of the ones on the desk worked even with the switch turned on. We made due with what we could. The staff was super sweet about it though. If y'all give them feedback during your stay, they're more than happy to accommodate so be vocal! I ended up speaking up too late and didn't really want to move rooms on our last night. I do wish they had a little downstairs market to spend my food and beverage credit. I could only use it during the restaurant hours which wasn't always the most convenient. At one point, I also asked for where the lobby bathroom was and was steered right into a private event (downstairs) so that was super awkward. We ended up using the one in the restaurant. My husband tried exploring the lobby to see if there was a downstairs market to spend our credit and staff seemed to stop him to ask if they could help so he didn't feel comfortable exploring much further because it made him feel like he wasn't allowed to go that direction. Maybe they were being overly helpful 😅 Love the convenience of the water dispensers though! This feature is so much more important than hotels realize. And the location is top notch. Super easy access to National Mall, Chinatown, etc. Overall, I would 100% be back."

"The good: Location, great staff, big fridge in room that is actually cold! Molton Brown toiletries. Plenty of power sockets built into bedside cabinets and lamps. The not so good: Small room for a deluxe king, felt like it was just a standard room. Dated and a little tired. Limited channels on tv. TV cabinet had broken doors. Shower head small and grubby, low pressure. Plastic disposable cups but no glasses or rigid plastic cups for drinks. Paper cups for coffee machine. Overall it was fine for the price but struggling to demonstrate its 4* status. Oddly called my room offering an upgrade 3 days into my 5 day stay. Nice offer but timed strangely. Would I go back, probably if I got it cheap enough as I used it as a base."

"We love the Dupont Circle Hotel. Wonderful, friendly and competent staff, terrific beds and a truly impressive breakfast. A cozy bar to meet friends with a talented bar tender in the most convenient part of the city for great restaurants of all stripes."

"I don’t know what the hotel will be like in the future, they just got bought out by another management company. However, when we stayed there was a horrible mold smell everytime you turned on the water, and no working ventilation in the bathroom. No coffee machine or microwave in the room either. They have a restaurant and cafe in the hotel but their prices are outrageous. BIGGEST ISSUE: hidden fees. There was a $130 “facility fee” that we were charged upon arrival that was not mentioned on Expedia. Then on top of that, there’s a $50 a day parking fee for the garage below which the parking fee was not upfront either. Staff are friendly, but the rooms are only cleaned every 3 days unless you ask for extra cleanings and new towels. I’d personally recommend going to a slightly more expensive hotel that won’t have the hidden fees, and will have a coffee machine in the room or even free breakfast because it’ll end up being cheaper in the long run. But again, all of these things could change over the next year as the hotel itself is changing naming and updating things. "
