Seems as though the lustre of the “Hyde” (now LYFE resort) has diminished. A hotel resort that is not for those seeking tranquility or a high-end resort vibe. There was constant noise in many areas…The POOL DECK had several children turning the pool into a waterpark, cannonballing into pool, pool toys, loud even for “outdoor” voices. Many guests, also not respectful with their volume during conversations. People on phone calls roaming up and down the sun-loungers aisle. In the ROOM there is constant “louder than normal” sounds from the A/C and in Florida where you want it on most of the time, doesnt make for a restful sleep. The pipes make even more noise and it is ongoing disturbing sounds, I am guessing to get water pressure up to units. First two days thought they were jack-hammering flooring at the unit above us. Only for it to be a continual sound according to units running their water. Also, the water pressure is great in the shower, but again makes for excessive echoing noise in large tiled area and sounds reverberate as water goes down the drain. Lastly, hearing the valet bring the cars up and down floors in parking garage. Screeching tires, and revving engines. We were on 3rd floor but could even hear this through the ventilation system at all hours of the night. Probably not as bad on upper floors, but then good luck waiting for elevators. Props to it for being pet-friendlyAll in all just an “okay experience” at what was once hyped as a high-end experience.
