“Great welcome, staff very helpful and friendly, super decor scheme, very tasty in rooms and in the Indian restaurant below and what a bonus that was! Terrific high quality cooking, Indian food at its very best! Locals in the bar were very friendly, it really is a great place to stop. Bed was a bit spingy and soft but otherwise full marks, we will return for sure! ”

“This hotel is excellent in all respects. However, I was asked to pay an extra £52 on check-in despite having paid in full when I booked with Hotels.com. The charming receptionist eventually resolved the problem. I was also asked to pay extra when I stayed at another Days Inn hotel recently. I would like Hotels.com and Days Inn to work together so that guests are not asked to pay more when they arrive.”

“The staff at The Bear Inn are terrific: it’s a family-run business and nothing was too much trouble. You soon will get to know everyone’s name a they will remember yours; it’s the little things that set a small country Inn apart from the bigger and soulless enterprises. Check-in was easy and, although we originally planned to stay for a couple of days, we were made so welcome, decided to stay for two more. Our day always started with an excellent and leisurely breakfast which really set us up……
