Best stay ever!
Picked this Guesthouse just because it was in the right area, had a king size bed (back problems) and was a reasonable price with good reviews. We were blown away by the place from start to finish as it felt like everything you needed had been thought of. We had a pot of welcome chocolates, a large array of biscuits, tea, coffee, hot chocolate, a fridge with orange juice, milk and water and even biscuits, cleaning products and poobags for our dog. The bed was huge and really comfortable, good toiletries, sanitary products, cotton buds and pads all provided. Lovely games room with pool table, darts, etc and drinks available to buy. Towels left at front door for muddy paws if you needed. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious, cooked to order and our hosts were lovely. It it on a slightly busy road but as in most villages, no real noise at night and lovely pub across the road if you wanted to eat out, village shop and abundant walks. Thanks for a lovely stay 💐❤️

Lovely 1 night stay at this dog friendly B&B, run by wonderful hosts Izzy & Peter who were very friendly and accommodating to our needs. Super breakfast set us up for another excellent day in Dunster. Would definitely consider staying at Exmoor House again if in this area for a break.

Great stay!
We had an amazing stay here at this wonderful guest house. The owners have thought of everything with special touches such as milk and juice in the fridge and some dog biscuits for the dog. The breakfast was amazing and set us up for the day. The hosts Izzy and Peter were so welcoming and have made this a fantastic base to stay and explore from.

Absolutely lovely bed and breakfast accommodation with friendly hosts and great attention to detail. A warm welcome from Izzy and Peter, matched by comfortable rooms and tasty breakfast served in pleasant surroundings. Great access to Exmoor and the coast. Would definitely recommend!

Great B&B - welcoming and friendly!
We had a lovely time. Teri and Austin were great hosts, very friendly and helpful. The breakfasts were great and the food locally sourced. Our room was spacious and very clean and well decorated- country chic feel.

We are so sorry that we didn’t meet your expectations- 8 out of 10 is the lowest score we have been given on any platform and we don’t that lightly. The only negative comment you made was that the mattress was too soft and we can say that we buy medium firm mattresses in an attempt to meet most guests’ preferences. Being gluten free, we hope that we offered a great choice for breakfast as we try to offer the same variety whatever the dietary requirements. Superb stay!
We have just enjoyed a 4 night stay at Exmoor House Bed & Breakfast and have to say it was faultless! Austin and Teri were brilliant hosts, ensuring we had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable- they were great with our little girl too, who obsessed over their lovely dog. The rooms were spotless and tastefully furnished, with lovely little touches such as chocolates and biscuits in the room. The beds were very comfortable and the washing facilities were good with high quality toiletries offered. Breakfast was superb, with an extensive breakfast menu and good quality local produce sourced. We haven't eaten so well in a long time! All in all, we have had a great family break in Exmoor, made all the better by our stay here- it really was a home away from home, definitely recommend!

A fantastic break
We booked into Exmoor House and it was immediately obvious upon arrival that the place was spotless. That's always important, of course, but particularly so in these strange times we're in. I have been relatively cautious the last couple of months but Teri and Austin put me immediately at ease with all the measures they'd put in place. The room was large, spotlessly clean, and the bed very comfortable. The shower was amazing, too. Breakfast was ordered the night before and there was a good selection available, and the quality very good. We felt really spoilt. One evening we knew we'd be tired from a long day out so ordered a Ploughman's, which again was brilliant. We've both absolutely no hesitation in recommending Exmoor House for a break away.

Everything was amazing! The only thing I would say is the traffic is loud in the morning but that can’t be helped given the location. They do provide ear plugs though which show they have thought of everything possible. Such lovely people and a great breakfast. Also so so thankful of a tip that we gave them which shows how appreciative they are.

Thank you for the lovely review. Yes, the road outside can be a little noisy in the mornings but usually only for around an hour. However, if you return, try our Wordsworth room which is at the rear of the house and, therefore, quiet. We do what we do because we want our guests to have an exceptional stay therefore tips are really not expected. But it is always nice when we exceed expectation.

Wonderful Stay
We had a wonderful time at the Exmoor House, our hosts Teri & Austin were super and couldn't do more for us. The hotel is a short drive to some great attractions and the coastal area. We will certainly be back.

Two night stay
Lovely guest house with off street parking. The pub opposite serves good food. I loved the fridge in the room with drinking water and milk. Some nice touches - tea, coffee and biscuits in the room. Earplugs and bathsalts. Shower was nice and powerful. Breakfast was freshly cooked and really nice. The hosts are very proud of their guesthouse and so tney should be !

Amazing find!
We booked last minute having spent a few days in Cornwall, and having taken several hours driving up to Exmoor and arriving very late had an extremely warm welcome from Terri and Austin! Our room was immaculate, exceptionally comfortable and the attention to detail was fabulous! Breakfast was excellent and the choices varied. Unfortunately for us it was a one night stay, but I can safely say we will be visiting again!

This one takes some beating!
This is a friendly, comfortable B and B with excellent facilities and also a guest's lounge - an unusual feature in a B & B but a welcome addition. We used it one evening as an area to have a quiet read, rather than spending the time lying on our beds. The location is ideal for exploring Exmoor and also the Quantock Hills. The bed was comfortable and the breakfast was excellent. We would not hesitate to recommend this accommodation.

Lovely welcoming B&B
We arrived at Exmoor House after a long walk, and were welcomed into their home and shown our lovely room (Wordsworth Room). We were even offered some bath salts to help ease our achy legs. After a long soak, we made our way to the Rest & Be Thankful Inn across the road, where a table had already been pre-booked for us. When we returned we had a lovely sleep on a really comfortable bed. The whole feel of the place was light and airy, it was very clean and there has obviously been a lot of thought into what visitors want (e.g. there are USB sockets on each of the plugs for your chargers). The shower was excellent, as warm as you want and super powerful. Breakfast was wonderful and there was a great variety, and we also had a packed lunch made up for the rest of our walk the next day. We couldn't have chosen a better place to stay, would recommend to anyone.

A great place to stay! Felt like home.
We really appreciated our stay at Exmoor House. We thank our hosts for their warm welcome and their availability. We had a great English breakfast and enjoyed a pleasant dinner in the pub opposite. We had an excellent night's sleep in the Wordsworth room which is very spacious and nicely decorated like the rest of the house.

Like a home from home for me
I have stayed at Exmoor House now 3 times and the reason I keep going back is that it is a fantastic place to stay, the rooms are very comfortable, when i'm not in my own bed at home I do struggle to sleep but the rooms and bed are great. The little touches in the room aswell are really nice, not just the normal tea and coffee sachets but little containers to make as much as you like with fresh milk (also lovely biscuit choice). The room i've had has netflix on the tv which is nice if you want a night in. Teri and Austin are fantastic hosts and go out of there way to make sure you have everything you need and that your stay be as comfortable as possible. Breakfast is made to order and tastes fabulous. The black pudding I personally recommend very highly!
