Every member of staff we met were warm and friendly and the cooked breakfast was superb. Appledore is such a lovely destination and a stay at the Royal George makes it all the more special. “Lovely hotel and so handy for the station opposite. I had a nice quiet room and I was delighted to have a bath as well as a shower. The decor was slightly dated but none the worse for that and I had everything I needed including plenty of storage space and a comfortable bed.. The staff were very pleasant and helpful”

“located in the small downtown Lyme Regis, easy to go to the beach, shops and restaurants it is an very old inn, very tradition english wooden building, downstair is the bar and restaurant, a bit oily smell, beware of no air-con”

“All staff were very courteous and helpful. The rooms were absolutely fantastic. We had a sea view room and it was just lovely to look out across and see the pier and all the ships sheltering from bad weather in the Bay. And the breakfast in the morning was just lovely to sit down and enjoy a good standard.”

“Wow what a setting. I know it’s only been open for 6 weeks but it is an amazing hotel. Sea view room and the whole room was amazing, huge bed which was so comfortable. Staff were so helpful and polite and the breakfast was amazing. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone and we will stay there again. Nigel White”

“Booked a valley castle room w king bed for one night in late Sep. Room was very clean with comfy n up to date decor. Room was big enough and soundproof quality was good. Big garden surrounded hotel n we took a pleasant walk the next day. Should have stayed for one or two nights so as to enjoy swimming pool and other facilities. The historical building was well maintained. Very pleasant stay ”
