Best family beach house!!

The house was everything we wanted and more! It was amazing and comfortable and very accommodating! We were a family of 8 with 2 small kids and it was perfect. The pool is so clear and pretty and perfect size. The house was huge and the rooms were very nice. The front desk and the shuttle were very helpful and friendly. Would definitely book this house every year from now on!

Perfect for our tennis retreat!

6 of us stayed 3 nights and loved being so close to the courts! The kitchen was big enough for us to make our own meals and everyone slept comfortably. Great stay! Thank you.

Pros & Cons

We've vacationed at Tops'l many times and this by far was the worst stay. The house gave us the space we needed. There were plenty of towels for our stay and the kitchen had all of the items needed for our stay. Unfortunately, the CONS out weighed the PROS. The house needed some attention. The bathroom vanities had chipped paint. The pool area most certainly needed to be pressure washed and the water seemed to have a green tint. None of the televions worked in the house. And most importantly, the house had roaches. When I called the office to report the bugs, I was asked to buy some bugs spray and someone would come by the next day. I must say, during check out, the issues were discussed and the office manager was gracious enough to compensate us for the inconveniences. I don't think this will stop us from returning to Tops'l, but we will certainly look at other places to stay.

Poor Maintenance & Customer Service

The unit wasn't ready for our stay when we got there. We had Maintenance out three times and never fixed anything. All the TVs were out and they blamed on the cable company but didn't do anything to fix during our stay and didn't offer any type of reimbursement for our troubles. Dryer took three cycles to dry clothes. We paid for a heated pool during our stay and the heat pump went out - Maintenance came out and didn't fix it. So we paid for a heated pool and didn't get it. They ended up refunding the pool fee but only after me having to email, call, etc. This is poor customer service. I will not be recommending this location to others which is sad because if handled correctly it could be avoided. The amount of time I have spent trying to get a incremental fee back is a bit unnecessary and extremely frustrating.

Family vacation

Met our needs. Missing some kitchen essentials but management provided within 48 hours. No plastic cups/bowls for little ones. House isn't updated and minor repairs are needed (doors don't latch, light bulbs in kitchen are burnt out). For the price I have paid for other homes/condos in the same community it was less improved. Won't be booking this home again.

Great spot for our Honeymoon!

We chose this spot for the private pool and were surprised to find a couple restaurants on the property. You can also call a shuttle to take you to to the beach! The house was very nice, clean and comfortable. The neighborhood was wonderful and close to the beach. Great location!

Good home, needs some maintenance

Overall, we had a great time. Private heated pool was great, but there were some maintenance issues not promptly addressed. The good: Large space for our family of four. Well stocked kitchen. Heated pool a big plus. Staff all very friendly. Property tram very prompt when called. Free DVD rentals from fitness center kiosk was nice. Some beach toys, chairs, etc in garage. Paper towels, toilet paper, dish towels, and dish soap were provided (but bring extra trash bags as they only provide one large kitchen bag). The bad: The house was not ready at 4:00 as promised (ready at 4:45). The dishwasher was broken the entire time. I got a text from vacasa the morning after check in (Sunday)asking if there was anything I needed to report. I replied immediately that the dishwasher was broken, a patio door was broken, and the hall closet doors were unhinged. Never got a reply back. The next morning (Monday), I called the front desk and reported the dishwasher to the front desk and they assured me they would get someone out promptly. They were apparently very busy, as I called again Tuesday afternoon, and they said I was on the list. On Friday morning, the pool heat wasn't working. I called the front desk once again, and also reminded them about the dishwasher. This time, maintenance staff came out right away and fixed the pool heat, but they were unable to fix the dishwasher. So, I spent all week handwashing lots of dishes since we didn't feel comfortable going out due to covid. Also discovered that the jacuzzi jets in the master did not work. Living room furniture should be replaced as it is worn and stained. Lots of board games and books provided, but we found all the games to be missing pieces. I planned to use the fitness trail on the provided map they gave us at check in, only to discover that the trail isn't complete, and there's a section on the map that actually has no trail. Just lots of little maintenance issues that will make me think twice about renting here again.

Awesome location and awesome home. Pool are a lil cool for us but we used it when shaded. Nice to have private pool. Only down fall was no bbq pit but not deal breaker.

Great escape

We came down here to escape and it was perfect house that has everything you need. Having your own pool is a major plus. My kids loved waking up and going swimming first thing in the am. The garage to park your car and stuff was an added plus.
