Perfect Location

This is the second visit to Destin and stayed in this tower both times. It’s absolutely perfect location for a family getaway with the beach, pool and restaurants all within walking distance. Would highly recommend!!

Enjoyed our stay

The property is beautiful and overall enjoyed our stay. We booked this property along with 13 other units for a baseball tournament and the entire team wanted to stay together. When we arrived, we found the air conditioner was not working properly. The air temp actually increased over a four hr period. When we called the emergency line, we were told that nobody would come until the next day, even though friends of ours were staying in the penthouse and had a tech show that night. The next day the tech advised us that the A/C unit had a part on back order that they had been waiting for and he said there was nothing he could do. The part finally came in 3 days later and the unit was fixed. We had to make several calls to the management company and each time never received a call back. They offered to move us to a different unit, but it was a 10 min drive. We were staying here to be with our entire team and that was not going to work. They advised they had nothing else on the property. We asked several times for a partial refund, but kept getting put off each time we called. We finally got a fair offer on the day we were checking out, but the management company blamed us for not wanting to move properties. Again, we had rented 14 units in total and were with our team, which was the whole reason for the stay. Multiple other units had issues as well, including A/C units. In the end, we did enjoy our stay overall and had fun with our team. We also won the PG Baseball championship.

Rating Details: The property manager was very unhelpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Terrible experience with this company. The unit was nice, but AC was not working on arrival. It took multiple emails, texts and calls before the issue was resolved on the third day of our stay. No AC at the beach in June is not what we had in mind. They did offer to move us to another unit at the end of day 2, but had nothing available in the same building where the rest of our family was staying. Read the reviews on this company- I wish we had!

Great week in Destin

Destin always delivers. Luau is a nice, consistent property with a good proximity to the beach and a great pool. The beach is crowded, but, for good reason. Sand is soft and the water is clear. We enjoyed taking the tram to Baytown Village. Great vacation. Everyone had a great time.

I’ve never stayed at Luau before and is definitely one of the best central locations. You get the best of both worlds with a easy walk to the beach and Seagars for dinner. The tram to the village was more convenient than expected as well.

Overall good

Pleased with overall experience, however I was a bit disappointed in the profound chipping paint on the deck. Big risk for my toddler grandson. Also, we needed to leave a day early to get home for family emergency. I have plenty of notice, yet no refund of partial refund. Given I forgave an egregious mistake that occurred during reservation, I figured there would be more gracious allowance when I needed a break.

Nice property, lots of room

Beautiful set of condos with a decent view of the beach. I wish they were connected on the inside, but that didn't really detract from how nice it was. The manager came by to check on us right after we checked in and they were easily available over the phone with a small problem we had at check in (the doors were stubborn and did not want to accept the codes).

Wonderful property and location

We love renting in the Sandestin! This was our 5th visit and we love the ease of the beach access and our unit has everything we need! We will be back!
