Loved the location!

Cute little cottage with a beautiful view of Eagle Harbor. We enjoyed coffee on the front porch every morning and walked to Lake Superior to watch the sunset. Close to trails and beaches. The cottage had everything we needed and was very quaint and cozy.

A very attractive location near a working lighthouse and the shore of Lake Superior. A comment about Vrbo locations generally: please provide more information about services nearby - groceries, gas, medical- with check in information. Peaceful and Refreshing

Beautiful and cozy cabin for unplugging and relaxing. Walk to restaurants for your meals or walk to the beach or walk up the hill to the lighthouse and watch the lake. The whole experience was stunning.

Perfect location for taking day trips around the peninsula. Homey and cozy cottage. Parking is tight. Be prepared for a car parked in front of the porch for the cottage next door.

Loved staying at this cottage. It was clean. Well appointed. Loved being able to walk up to the lighthouse and outlook tower. Enjoyed the front porch in the evenings. It was close to what we wanted to see but we could only stay two nights. Would stay again and hope our travels allow us to stay longer.

This little cottage was spotless and so comfortable. It had everything we needed. The linens and towels were high quality. The kitchen well stocked. The attention to detail was great. Cozy - a home away from home

The Schoolhouse cabin was like a cozy home away from home, with a well-stocked kitchen and lovely country decor. The view from the cabin's front window (and porch) of the harbor helped make our stay very special. We did not have any additional needs for amenities during our one week stay, as the cabin was so well appointed. We liked staying in Eagle Harbor, as it was convenient to many sights...we were able to take a drive north to Copper Harbor via Brockway Mountain to see the fall colors and south to the see the sunset in Great Sand Bay.

Beautiful condition, everything you could possibly want and need, in a charming small space. If you can't rekindle romance in this place, you're dead . And the whole Keneewaw peninsula..oh my.

There is no place in Michigan quite like the Keweenaw. For the last 20+ years this has been where I go to truly get away from it all and recharge. This get away was much needed this year. The host was above and beyond accommodating. The kindness that she displayed will never be forgotten. The Schoolhouse cabin was perfect for two. It has great views of the lake and is very clean and well maintained. I would highly recommend Freshwater Vacation Rentals to all and will be booking again!!

View of owners vehicle parked 5 ft off porch

Could not stay here because of the musty smell. They had the heat cranked up on a day that it was in the 80’s. No air and windows have to be propped open with a stick - windows full of spider webs. They did provide fans. Dead flies on the table. No door to the bedroom and the curtain they use as a door was laying on the floor. Property mgmt firm was great and very responsive in finding another property in the area. Owner parks their car in front of the porch so their isn’t a clear view,

Lovely cottage in ideal location. Cottage is well stocked with everything needed to enjoy time in Eagle Harbor. Best beach in area across the road. Owners very responsive to any identified problems. Couldn't have found a better place to relax and enjoy the area.

Old School House

Got this stay for my daughter and husband as a Christmas gift. They loved the area and color tour they took. The cottage was small but nice. They were scared to use the old heater.
