Host was very friendly. The house was in a great location for winter activities. We had everything we needed in the kitchen and plenty of blankets in the bedrooms to keep warm!
Gorgeous cozy home tucked in the heart of Eagle River. The backyard had a beautiful view of the falls.Spacious home with lots of beds, it was a very comfortable stay.
This is the perfect place to stay in Keweenaw County! Beautiful home with wonderful views, we loved it! Great location, right next to the falls, with so much to explore! Hope to come back soon!
The kitchen was exceptionally well stock with utensils, pots and pans, etc., etc. It worked well for both adults and small children. The sound of the nearby waterfall was a plus, as was the surrounding quietness. I highly recommend it!
We had so much snow over our stay it was incredible, the conditions at Mt Bohemia were perfect and in the evenings we spent our time around the fireplace playing card games. Everything there was perfect and we would definitely plan on staying here again.
This is our family’s third year staying here and we love it. Plenty of space for adults and teens and the location is perfect for all sorts of outdoors adventures. We recommend booking a dinner to watch the sunset at Fitzgerald’s!
This was our second time at the house. The house is very comfortable, the location is perfect, and it would be great for any group wanting to enjoy the UP.
We had a wonderful time staying here. Access to the atv trails was very close to the cabin. Beautiful view of the lake. Would definitely come here again.
Unique rustic property with a big beautiful yard in the midst of a waterfall that lays to the south side of the property. Lots of charm inside and out with a great front covered porch to sit on and a relaxing back porch too. We really enjoyed that. They included some history of the cabin in the surrounding area and their welcome book. For a history, but there’s aWe really enjoyed that. They included some history of the cabin in the surrounding area and their welcome book. For a history minded family there is a museum right across the street. The upstairs king bed is extremely comfortable. This cabin is not perfect, but that’s not exactly what we were looking for it fit the bill as a rustic, true authentic northern Michigan stay.
Plenty of bedrooms and two bathrooms. Room in the dinette and living room for spreading out and visiting. Well stocked kitchen and linens. Decks in front and back for enjoying the outdoors, and a path out back to the Eagle River dam for exploring. Could hear the falls and see Lake Superior shore. Would definitely stay again!
Great place after some cleaning / clearing out cabinets / fridge.
Great location and place. It needed to be cleaned upon our arrival but the fireplace, waterfall and company we stayed with made for a wonderful stay. The cabinets and fridge were full of food unlike any other rental place we've been to so that was strange feeling like we were staying at someone's house that lives there vs a rental where the place is empty and ready for our food and beverages.
We had visited Eagle river falls this past autumn. Gorgeous area. When looking for a place to celebrate Christmas/NYE with the family we found this incredible home! Pleasantly surprised that the grounds and home were even better than described. Comfortable, clean and a great area to make home base for some Keweenaw exploring! Every one of us enjoyed our stay and would love to stay again in the coming summer.
Great log cabin home. 6 of us stayed here to explore Keweenaw on ATVs. It is perfect location. Atv/snowmobile trail head 2 blocks away. House was well equiped. Very relaxing after day of riding. 2 bathrooms is a big plus with a group. No complaints about anything from our group. We had a wonderful time and great memories were made.
Highly recommend this beautiful place if you are coming to the Keweenaw.
Host was quick with reply to any questions.
Thank you Karen.
Wow .. this was a beautiful home and clean. The only thing that wasn’t clean was the oven. Contact the owners to let them know. The toast oven will be replaced as it didn’t work to make toast-however we used the oven to make toast which was ok!
This was a great stay and would book again - finally seen the northern lights on our last night! Totally worth it! You can see them from the front porch!
Thank you for allowing us to stay!
We found this property to be a perfect fit for our stay in the Keweenaw Peninsula. Our group consisted of my husband, his mom and dad, my mom, and our three teenage children. My father-in-law grew up in this area and we wanted to bring him back to share it with his grandchildren. The house accommodated us well. We had the older adults sleep in the bedrooms on the first floor, and the younger ones slept upstairs. The beds were comfortable. Having two bathrooms was a bonus with our group of eight. The kitchen was well stocked and we were able to make all meals easily. We even pulled the charcoal grill out of the garage for a cookout. We did bring our own charcoal and lighter fluid. The sound of the waterfall behind the backyard was relaxing and was heard throughout the property. We enjoyed the sunsets each night over Lake Superior. We used the park across the street and played pickle ball. We happened to have our own paddles with us. The courts are a bit weathered and well used, but it was still fun. Overall, this property was relaxing and suited our family well and we would stay again in the future if we travel this way.
Had a great time getting away to enjoy a few days of snowmobiling in the Keweenaw! House is cozy, in a perfect location, and has a great view of Lake Superior.
