We were close to both Narrowsburg and Callicoon, so shopping and eating out were options, but it was nice to just stay at the cabin and use the kitchen, grill, and fire pit. "The property was as advertised. Pictures don’t lie. The home was beautiful and comfortable. Spacious and roomie. The kitchen was fully stocked even had tooth picks. Large tvs. Central heating and air. The beds were very comfortable and had ample bedding towels and utensils. Host even supplied maps with fishing locations. Had a great time and will return when weather is better lol"

"We wanted a place on a lake in the early fall and this did not disappoint. We kayaked (nice newer kayaks), built fires, napped and read; very isolated. The house was clean and had good kitchen supply including wine opener, knives and extras like dw detergent, paper towels, salt and pepper etc. I recommend for an easy drivable getaway from multiple east coast cities. Warning: the house next door shares the lakefront. Luckily no one was renting while we were there but you should be aware."

"The best parts of Grandma's cottage were the record player and records, the binder of 1993 Gourmet magazines (my favorite year), the very detailed labeling of everything in the kitchen which made preparing meals a breeze, the comfortable beds, the fact that it really felt like we had traveled back in time to Grandma's house AND the fact that it smelled fresh and clean and not fusty like some Grandma's houses. "We had a very nice stay at this property. The views were absolutely stunning and the ambience and quiet were just what we were looking for. The outdoor sitting area overlooking the view was outstanding. We had some issues with the lights not working in the main bedroom, trouble using the shower in the main bedroom and that the pool is only heated with additional payment. Despite that we still used the pool and very much enjoyed the hot tub and other amenities that came with the house. Overall...

"We enjoyed our stay because there was plenty of room for all of us. It worked perfectly for those who needed to be roomed on the first floor near bathrooms because of physical challenges. The home was lovely and we enjoyed cooking in the kitchen and hanging out playing ping pong and foosball. It was not as clean as we would have liked it to be. "The Love Shack is a wonderful getaway, as long as you welcome vintage decor. The juke box was great to enjoy while playing board games. Foosball was a blast from the past and provided laughs galore! The owner provided a ready to light fire and even a pizza upon arrival. The couches (one with 2 built in recliners) and beds were comfortable. Outdoor firepit and ping-pong a plus."
