The hotel should not be classified as resort instead it’s a motel. It’s like a quick stop by stay. It’s outdated to the max basically. We checked in on Friday, July 4 and checked out Sunday, July 6 just a little getaway. I think the state would have been better if they at least had authentic Jamaican food there was none. The pool was not accessible. It was being repaired in which the repairs were done Sunday morning when we were getting ready to leave the beach is across the street from the motel, unlike most of the resorts, the beaches behind the hotel privately so we have to cross the street in traffic to get to the beach which wasn’t a big deal. I did however, like that the scenery was basically authentic Jamaican vibes

This was my families' 3rd stay at Deja and as always, it was excellent!! The staff are extremely friendly, helpful and engaging, making us feel like family. The food, the drinks, entertainment and cleanliness are all top-tier! Easy access to Doctor's Cave Beach and walkable to other beaches, shops, etc. Deja is truly a hidden gem and we'll stay again and again!

I don’t want to go into detail on the things I didn’t like but rather go on about the things I loved! The resort is in the heart of everything (convenient stores/boutiques) & right across the street from the beach (Doctor’s Cave). The staff members I adored: Andre, the baggage handler to the room. He was super sweet. The manager & assisting manager with the beautiful brownish locs.. I appreciate you both! You were attentive and 100% amazing all around. Loretta (the entertainer) my goodie girl did her thing every time. Carline (the morning chef on the skillet) I loved her smile every morning. She made my omelettes perfect! You would just have to see the resort for yourself and trust the front desk staff and the dining staff in the mornings are nothing short than wonderful. Not to mention there is 24/7 cab service in the front or in the surrounding area.

Pool was broke, no one told us. Noisy!! Not peaceful at all. Beach is across the street. It’s public and you have to pay for chairs. Food was subpar at best. Most staff was rude. Bottom shelf liquor. Peddlers trying to sell you weed everywhere. Montego Bay in general is not nice.

Very disappointed with the property. We didn’t have hot water upon arrival and this was communicated throughout our stay. There were multiple failed attempts and no accommodations were made. Our entire time in Jamaica we were taking cold showers. We ate at the dinning hall once and that was not a pleasant experience. Your only option is to dine in the hall, there are no self serve beverages or variety of options. We left the hall thirsty and hungry. The pool was out of order and there was no comforter or blanket, only thin sheets. Overall if this is a last minute stay, you will have a place to lay your head. But I would recommend EVERY other option first. 1/10

No elevator. If you come early, do not expect them to have a room ready for you. Keep up with that card for your towel. If you lose it is $30. It was hard for me to turn the air down in the room. When they said the food will be ready on the grill it wasn’t.

Overall, I would stay at Deja Resort again. The location is definitely one of its biggest perks – right on the Hip Strip and directly across from the beautiful Doctor’s Cave Beach. As a guest of Deja, entry to the beach is free, which is a nice bonus, though you’ll still need to pay $7 USD per chair and umbrella. The food was surprisingly very good for an all-inclusive with only a buffet option. There was decent variety, and the meals were consistently enjoyable. One disappointment during my stay was that the pool was closed for the entire visit. I wish I had been informed about this ahead of time, as it would have impacted my expectations. That said, having the beach just across the road helped make up for it. If you’re looking for a laid-back, centrally located resort with good food and beach access, Deja is a solid choice

The room was ok other than bugs coming in under the patio door.They say its all inclusive yeah only if you are eating what they prepared in their kitchen whitch was their food knowing you have tourists from all over the world.The food was terrible had to fight off the flies the dining area was too small had to wait in line till some guest waa done to be seated some of the staff in the dining room was rude. The pool was dirty when we got there they end up closing the pool in the middle of the week supposed to be for maintenence for 2 days but when we left on Saturday it was still closed. The entrance to the hotel is very dark at night. If i had to do it all over again I would not stay at this hotel. Paid too much money for what we got.

I recently stayed at Deja Resort in Montego Bay, and my experience was a mixed bag. The location of the resort is fantastic, right across from the beautiful Doctor’s Cave Beach, which was definitely a highlight. However, I was disappointed with several aspects of my stay. The pool was undergoing maintenance throughout the entire duration, and I received no prior notification about this. It would have been nice to know in advance so I could adjust my plans accordingly. Additionally, the lack of mid or top-shelf liquors was surprising. The available drink options felt quite limited, and it detracted from the all-inclusive experience I was hoping for. My room also had issues, including a broken safe, which made me feel a bit insecure about my belongings. To make matters worse, drinks were neither stocked nor restocked consistently during my stay, which was frustrating. I expected a more attentive approach given the resort's overall offerings. In summary, while Deja Resort has a great location and some enjoyable amenities, the maintenance issues, limited drink selections, and room concerns significantly impacted my overall experience. I hope they address these problems for future guests.
