First timers at Contenta Inn

We weren't sure what to expect as we were not familiar with the area or Inn, but from the minute we went to the lobby to ask if we could store our luggage since it was too early to check in, the front desk clerk was so welcoming, warm and so nice ! The room and entire retro vibe of the Inn is very cool, clean and modern !

Really quiet area in a valley surrounded by mountains , nice little hot tub, clean linens and bathroom. Very comfortable bed and if you’re planning on just having a place to sleep this is a great place for the price.

Great location! Walking distance to all wine tasting rooms and restaurants within Carmel Valley Village. Plenty of parking, great pool and hot tub on the property, and very quiet in the evening. This is our go-to spot when we visit Carmel Valley.

Great location - Big rooms!

This location is really quiet and off the main road. The rooms are large and each has a private fenced in patio to the grass court yard and pool. Staff was polite and helpful. No complaints at all, we will be back!

Very nice older motel type setting. It's an old property but has been updated and is in great shape. Rooms are big and tastefully decorated. One story w/ small, private patio. Neighbors were loud but they settled down by 10p. Would gladly stay again.

It suited our purposes. It was very reasonable, and the bed was comfortable. It was a warm day, and the remote required to work the air conditioner was a problem requiring staff assistance. Dining and wine tasting were within walking distance.

The accessible room was under construction so they gave us the next best thing. The sink/counter in BR was really low (& I'm short). The pool is not heated and the hot tub was not turned on. The inn ia dated and the room is musty smelling. Staff was responsive. Complimentary pastries in the AM is delicious! Overall, it wasn’t bad for its price in this area.

Dont let the outside fool you! This is a revamped 1970's style motel that sparkles when you enter the room.We wish we could have stayed longer. The pool was not heated, so we were unable to enjoy it. We did use the h I t tub and it was great. Nice large fridge in the room and plenty of coffe fixings provided. The room was HUGE! The bed was very comfy. The bathroom continues to be mid-century modern. Nothing fancy, but very large with an old fashioned heat lamp. We were quite happy with it. The grounds are well taken care of and there were numerous citrus trees and blooming foillage on the property. Each room has its own private balcony with fencing surrounding it. We will go back and stay longer next time. Loved it! COMFY!

I’m updating a previous review. Our first two days started off hard because we didn’t have wifi and the pool closed which were the first two things we had planned to do during our stay. Miriam, the manager, came on her day off and helped us fix the Internet and updated us on the pool situation. So good news is that things were updated and future guests should not have to experience the same issues again. WiFi and pool issues aside, the room was spacious and very clean. We really enjoyed the sliding door access to the pool and the pet friendly environment. It was like having a pool in our backyard. The pool area was well kept. We were there on weekdays and shared the pool with only one other family most days. Our stay ended well and we were able to enjoy the amenities. Miriam has been very responsive. Our son left his watch phone behind on the property, and she has been responsive in helping us locate it.
