This was our second visit to this property. A visitor gets an authentic experience in the Tuscan countryside. The trip there ends with a narrow dirt road. You overlook the valley of the Farma creek covered with dense vegetation. The view is breathtaking and the atmosphere peaceful. The gardens are beautiful. The house itself is old and charming. It's also very clean. Please note there is no washing machine, so you have to travel about 40 minutes to Rosia to find a laundry. There is none in Monticiano. The nearby town of Iesa has a terrific restaurant, l'Aia di Gino. We dined there five times in a week. We took day trips to the San Galgano monastery, Montalcino, Massa Maritima and Lake Bolsena. Adriana Chiantini, the owner, is a lovely lady who cares about her renters. It was good to see her again.
