Loved the place

We loved everything about the place. The location was great!! The place was clean and cozy. Our only draw back was that we didn’t receive the notice about the snow tow and our car got towed. But the owners refunded us for the charges right away. I would definitely a stay here again!!

The unit was perfect for me, my husband, and adult son for a 2-night stay. I liked the way the kitchen was set up with the counter that would seat 4 comfortably. The location was walking distance to multiple restaurants and a grocery store. It was clean and modern with cute decorations.

Everything was wonderful, the only reason why I rated the accuracy of listing as a 3 is because I thought there was access to the outdoors from the kitchen. There is a door from the kitchen to the outdoors but access is under construction. You can get to the outdoor area from one of the bedrooms which is just not ideal for us. I'm looking forward to this upgrade!

The beds were incredibly hard and uncomfortable. The shower door makes an insane screeching noise to close it. Was a little hard hot in the bedrooms since the AC is in the living space but a fan and leaving the door open sufficed for the short time we were there. Other than those things the place was very clean and well stocked with everything we needed.

The location of the house is convenient, but it wasn't clean enough for my taste. The owners were very responsive when I discussed this with them. They offered to send a cleaning lady to address the issues I mentioned. I declined because the place needs a very thorough cleaning to be suitable for me, not something that could be done in an hour. For instance, my toddler's feet were black from the carpet 😔. It needs a thorough shampooing or replaced. There was just grime on baseboards, walls, drawer pulls, windowsills, etc. It was clear someone had come through and gone over the obvious surfaces, but this place needs way more than that. Some people will be fine with this place (I chose it because it got a lot of great reviews), but if you are a person that wants to stay someplace super-clean, this isn't the place for you. As I said, the owner was very responsive, so I can't fault them. I think we just have different expectations.

Relaxing getaway

Kitchen is well stocked, even had a toaster oven & electric water heater. Hot tub is worth the extra $35. Give the heater a few minutes to warm up ( it's small but very efficient).

Beautiful Mt Shasta views

Great location, one street away from the main part of town. Two bedroom place with a lovely kitchen. Nice breeze from open windows. Top lock (bolt-outside door) does not slot into door frame, so only able to lock doors from the bottom handles. Shower door makes a TERRIBLE shrieking sound when the plastic slides across the glass door as you close it. The plastic is there to prevent water from escaping, but it is not effective. Unclear as to where to park overnight, street signs say no parking from 2-6 am in front of rental. No communication from management. The City of Mt Shasta is a great jumping off point for many activities in the area. Try to visit Burney Falls (about an hour to the SE) if you are able. Amazing.

The place had everything we needed and was dog friendly - downtown location and a small background - house was newly remodeled and clean! John, the owner was great and brought us a cooler when the power was out! Online correspondence was not always fast via VRBO app, but would definitely stay here again!
