We were only a group of 2, but the house easily could accommodate 6 people. "Of all the VRBO houses we have stayed in, this one is probably our favorite! The location was ideal with the constant lulling sound of waves and birds we've never heard. "Melanie and Steve were such wonderful hosts at this spacious property in Pahoa! Melanie was incredible communicative and responsive, and Steve dropped by periodically to ensure we were doing okay or whether we needed anything. The space itself is very large - it could easily accommodate parents and two kids. It is a quaint, Hawaiian themed place that you can tell has been decorated with great care and shone with personality! It is about a half hour drive to Hilo and an hour to Volcanoes National...

"Amazing location for Volcano National Park. We loved this house but we were hardly there! We booked two nights but explored on our road trip there so much that we got there late. Then the next day we hiked 8 miles in The park. It was great to come back to that hot tub. The house is gorgeous and worked great for our family of four adults. Wish we had more time here. "We stayed in the cottage and it was exceedingly charming and comfortable. Staff were truly kind and gracious, and we had two great meals at the main restaurant. The nature trail on the property was a nice bonus. Great location near the national park and close to other restaurants, too. Staying at the Kilauea Lodge was the highlight of our trip."
