「Great base for Loughborough Uni, lovely village for a walk. The room was spacious and quiet. Breakfast was good but started a bit late on the weekend at 9am. We also ate in the pub and both meals and service was excellent. Easy parking.」

「Despite the room being a non smoking room the smell of stale smoke was unbearable. Despite complaining and asking to move rooms, the solution was to give me some room spray that failed to mask the smell and just made it worse… As I result I barely slept and I have gone to office the next day exhausted and smelling of stale smoke. 」

「Absolutely awful. No housekeeping despite our requests during our entire stay. We could not even get a hold of staff as no one was at the reception or restaurant. We had to phone the hotel via the general number online and ask to be put through to the hotel chain. Extremely poor cleanliness, there were stains all over the bedsheets, chairs and a strong odour of urine in the room, carpets and bathroom. Filthy toilet, grubby bedroom and all surfaces were full of stains and spillages. The towels...

「Our stay was great. The only disappointment was the shower. It wasn't very powerful and the temperature was unreliable. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff were very friendly. The continental breakfast was very good so it wasn't necessary to order additional cooked items. 」

「The staff and main building were excellent; however, I was in courtyard in an annex out of shot of lovely sales picture. It was an accessible needs room (I assume due to hotels.com booking) but no cheaper than direct booking. The tv was on a shelf at ceiling height so difficult to watch unless standing. The tap fell off but luckily slotted back on and worked with care. The room door was an internal stable type door so had no insulation or sound proofing meaning people accessing a storage room...

「The taps for hot and cold water did not work properly. Sometimes it is very hot and sometimes very cold. There was always no one at the reception. Although the workers in the lodge were very helpful, we needed to look for them. We also discovered that the clean towels were left on the floor for changing the dirty ones. In fact, the bedsheets and blankets would not be changed except that you asked them to do so. The beds were too old that they were too soft. I think the cleaners only tidied up...

「Bed and bedding comfy with 2 choices of pillows. Good hot water and pressure. Only draw back was the reverse cycle was not controllable due to not having a down button. Temp stays on 25 or you could put it up not down. Had a standing fan fan which we had on all night and heating off. Too cold for windows open. 」
