Family Vacation

We enjoyed our stay. The house has plenty of room for everyone to be comfortable. Easy access to the beach was nice. Very relaxing to sit on the top floor porch and watch the sunrise.

Thanksgiving vacation

This was our first family Thanksgiving holiday away from home! This home was beautiful and spacious! The kitchen was very well equipped allowing us to have our yearly tradition with everyone gathering around the kitchen to cook for Thanksgiving! The beach access was wonderful! I would definitely recommend this home! Thank you again for allowing our family to enjoy your beautiful home!

would be nice if the 2nd level and 1st level furniture cushions could be replaced , they are old with stains, also the old sisal rugs are old and need replacing 1st and 2nd floors. would also help to refinish hardwood floors and check stains on the bed spreads. Love the location and number of bedrooms available for my family. Ants always a minor problem, but understand it is the beach. All in all, we always enjoy our stay at Maison Blanche

Ants, ants everywhere!

Maison Blanche is a lovely house that is well situated on the beach. The house is well appointed and we all liked the house very much. We, however, did not like the ant invasion that overwhelmed the whole house. We had ants in our cars, bedrooms, the kitchen as well as the porches. I am convinced that the house is sitting on a giant ant hill. Clearly, a professional exterminator is needed. As you can imagine, the infestation has colored our opinion of the property

Great weather, wonderful time and great property; DeBordieu and Maison Blanche were a match for our family and vacation needs.. With the oven broken, we ate out more than usual.. This repair along with repairing the ice machine in the downstairs playroom would put the property back to a 10 in my mind .. 😎

1. Love the location and the layout. 2. Needs a deep cleaning - lots of stuff in house. 3. Living room furniture is dirty and stained. Wicker couches are very uncomfortable. 4. Bar stools at counter are rickety and potentially unsafe. 5. One of the outside screen porch chairs to the table completely broke apart while a family member was eating dinner. It was lucky he didn't hurt his back. To summarize, we mostly love the place but it really needs a refresh and some new furniture.

House Issue

we love then house and have been staying there for several years. Unfortunately we had a massive sugar ant issue this year. We had them there last year, but this year, it was awful. On walls, in drawers in the kitchen, bathroom sinks and showers, inside and outside tables. We even had them all over/in the sink one morning. We ended up with them coming back to Ohio and VA in our cars bc they were in our personal belongings. Probably need to alert the Homeowner. Other than this, we had a blast and the house is well equipped.

WE enjoyed our stay at Maison Blanche. I would have given it an Excellent rating except for a few things. We noticed that the house had a few "pest" problems(ants and roaches). Also, the air conditioning vent in the main floor bathroom (the en suite one) was leaking water. We also felt that the clothes dryer and the oven on the Viking stove were not working properly. I also think you could provide hair dryers for the bathrooms. We were not aware that we could not use the garage for the electric cart and to stash windsurfer sails but that was a surmountable problem. We liked the house and location and have signed up for it next year.

The Perfect Beach Experience

If you are looking for comfort, luxury, and convenience with magnificent beach views and access, this is your ticket. The house was immaculate and beautifully decorated, but at the same time casual and relaxing, just the ideal balance for enjoying the beach. There was plenty of room and privacy, which could accommodate several families and/ or couples by providing all their own space, if they chose to use it. The elevator allowed for great flexibility in moving baggage, groceries, and guests to the upper floors, effortlessly. The large screened front porch and the upper decks provided special vantage points to enjoy views of the surf in the East and the sunsets in the West. The house was centrally located with easy access to all the other amenities at Debordieu. Your stay will be a vacation to cherish, if it comes even close to the special time we had at this wonderful home.

Amazing!

This home exceeds all expectations! Every room is decorated beautifully and makes you feel right at home but this time the beach is only footsteps away! We love the back porch that overlooks the ocean and enjoyed many nights eating to the sound of the waves. All of the family cannot wait to get down to the beach and lay in the sun on the clean and wonderfully maintained beaches of DeBordieu! The home is kept up to date and is very clean and perfect for large families or families vacationing together. The bottom floor is perfect for young kids to hangout downstairs. We absolutely LOVE this home!
