「We stayed on a Saturday night and there was a DJ/disco on until after midnight. We were warned of this when we checked in but it was so loud and there was more noise from other guests. Parking is limited. Drinks expensive. Rooms clean but basic even though we were upgraded to a superior room. The one staff member was very helpful and friendly but overall disappointed would not stay again.」

The separate block which houses the bedrooms looks boring but the bedrooms inside are incredibly beautiful. I enjoyed underfloor heating in the bathroom and the lovely views of the countryside. 」

「Honestly could not fault this place at all. Staff very welcoming and attentive. If things were not available in your room they would be more than happy to help and provide eg. Iron and Iron Board.
The breakfast was amazing and the fresh pastel del nata was even better than what I’ve had in Portugal! 10/10 recommend 」

「Beautiful pub with rooms and staff were outstanding. Our rooms were really well appointed and clean.
The food was good but we were a little underwhelmed with our meals. Salmon main dish was dripping in very salty miso and soy sauce. Restaurant was v busy and we were advised that there could be a wait for food.
Breakfasts were fantastic though we had to wait a ridiculously long time for our food on the second morning. Only one person serving and one chef creates quite a problem!

「Great place to stay if you’re off to the races, 15mins by car or Taxi.
The pub does not provide a breakfast but their evening meals are good, and the staff are friendly.
The rooms are at the back of the pub and have ensuite bathrooms, tea, coffee and water bottles in the mini fridge. The linen and towels were all fresh and the bed very comfortable. 」
