"The Chateau is lovely and an experience in and of itself. The grounds and views were gorgeous. The rooms are beautifully updated and comfortable. Finding the property was a little tricky the first time as our GPS took us on the wrong road. You are about a 10 min drive to Amboise. We really enjoyed our stay."

It still said that there was air conditioning so we were really disappointed to find that it didn’t have air conditioning. Carole was extremely apologetic and I appreciate that it wasn’t her fault that we arrived during a heat wave but I feel she should have made sure the listing was accurate. "We had a wonderful time at Les Closeaux! The kids played tennis and the pool was clean and warm. The area surrounding the gites was beautiful- we took several long walks. The meal we had in the restaurant was absolutely delicious! All five of us loved our meals! We also used the barbecue one night to cook out. The gite had everything we needed to prepare a meal. We had a great experience here!!"

"What an incredible coincidence! We stayed at this same hotel in the same room 8 years ago! Last time, the little bed in the corner wasn’t necessary for a couple, but this time we came with our 2 year old son who loved sleeping in his first real bed! The new indoor pool is a luxurious addition since our 2016 stay and this time we splurged for the in-room breakfast, which was so copious and delicious that we haven’t been hungry for the rest of the day!
