Breathtaking Views at the Nehalem River Retreat
The Nehalem River Retreat sits on the Nehalem River just as it flows into the Nehalem Bay. Whether you are here for a relaxing time sitting by the fire watching the bald eagles just outside, antiquing, or here for a fishing, crabbing, or deep sea excursion you will find the River Retreat accommodations will exceed your expectations.
Rental will include access to this beautiful house and boat dock.
- Room 1- large bedroom with a queen size bed and a private deck.
- Room 2 includes a queen size bed and a wood stove.
- Room 3 includes a queen bed and personal restroom/ shower and private deck.
- Room 4 is a downstairs room with twin bunk beds.
All rooms have unobstructed river and mountain views. Also, a large kitchen with everything you'll need to prepare your favorite meal.
Our guests have access to our private boat dock on the river.
Boat and floatplane mooring available.
The neighborhood is a small beach town with a couple of restaurants. a bar, some small boutique shops as well as river access. You will be just 2 miles from some fantastic restaurants in Manzinita and the beautiful Oregon coast.

Lovely location
We enjoyed our stay so much, spending most of ourtime on the riverview deck. It was clean and comfortable with a functional kitchen and large dining table. We hope to return next year!

Relaxing, beautiful views, comfortable and spacious bedrooms. Close to town.
Welcoming large open floor plan with beautiful views and all amenities one would need. Unique and creative decor. All in all a peaceful place to stay. Owners easily contacted and amenable. Walk to Nehalem. 5 minutes to Manzanita. Stunning luxurious bedrooms. Will stay again.

Beautiful home with gorgeous views from every window.
Our family of 7 had a wonderful time at the house. The kitchen was equipped with our every need, and the beds were really comfortable. We spent time indoors and on the dock.

Bright riverside home
The house is located between the Nehalem River and Hwy 101 (which for the lightest sleeper in our group was a little disruptive, but EVERYTHING wakes him up). The house itself was very nice: clean, well lit, plenty of room for big groups, big beds. Three of the four bedrooms are uniquely laid out upstairs, but my family didn't have too many problems interrupting each other. The house never got too hot or too cold. Our cellular data was faster than the house wifi, but there aren't a lot of choices for high speed internet on the Oregon Coast so that was understandable -- we at least got service all throughout the house. There were plenty of towels and the beds were soft. One of the bathrooms was much better than the other, but they didn't have any pesky ants or bugs anywhere! The view of the river is gorgeous. There is a dock available for lounging. We rented some canoes in Wheeler and that was about 30 min away rafting.
We stayed there during the eclipse weekend and it was great to hang out in the backyard secluded from everyone (besides the fishing boats). While the town of Nehalem was in walking distance, we mostly drove into Manzanita for food and shopping. My family would consider staying here again, however someone who stays here long term owns dogs and that aggravated some allergies. Also, the check out instructions were a little unclear. We couldn't locate the trash bin anywhere or knew if the owners wanted us to strip the beds or not.

The Nehalem Bay house was more than I expected. It has a. Beautiful deck overlooking the bay.
We had a great time. Every room has huge windows with spectacular views. This house has so much character and plenty of space for everyone. It has a perfect location so you can explore the Oregon Coast in either direction. The owners are gracious and welcoming. Thanks, Stephan and Tamara, for sharing your lovely home !

Great Bay House for a family get away!
The outside environment was amazing. The house met all our needs although some of the towels were dirty, luckily we brought our own. The dock was our highlight and the night life was breathtaking!
