Amazing property with beautiful quiet morning views

This place was in the perfect location for us to travel the short distance back and forth to Manzanita during our week long stay. The traffic during the daytime wasn’t disruptive to us, and mornings on the deck watching the boaters on the river was completely peaceful and serene. Loved this stay!

Great getaway

Great location to relax on the river and fish. Glad to see an outdoor shower to wash the furry family member and ourselves before going into the house.

Great River Setting

Great place on the Newhalem River for two couples! Loved the modern design with a large main space looking over the river and large deck. Nice contemporary kitchen and bathroom too. Location convenient to walk to town, or short drive to nearby Manzanita and the epic Short Sands Beach at Oswald State Park. Some occasional traffic sound being on main road, but didn't bother us City residents.

This property was gorgeous and very clean. It sits right on the river as stated and has a beautiful view. However, this was the loudest place I've stayed. It's about 2 feet from highway 101 and the speed limit is 55 mph. I slept poorly as the place shook when semis would drive by. In addition, the parking is poor. It's also bumped up against the highway and getting in and out of the parking spot is difficult due to traffic. I'm glad I didn't take my dog as there is no place for a dog to use the bathroom and it's unsafe to walk alongside the highway until it slows down about a block ahead. I loved the pace but not the location alongside the highway.

What a cool spot!

Had a really great time here with my friend and our 8 year old boys. Came for a fishing trip and the location couldn’t have been better. The house was clean and had plenty of supplies for cooking. The private dock was huge and made fishing fun. If you plan on bringing small children, just be aware that the access to the front door is 6 feet from the highway with a bit of a blind corner due to trees, so you will need to keep a close eye on them as traffic is moving there.

Great waking up on the river

The morning are wonderful here with the river out your front door. We found this home to be very comfortable and accommodating for our family. It's very nicely redone, everything we needed was there. You cant beat the location. We found the road noise to be a none issue, the parking is a little tight but we had two cars. Communication was excellent, no issues. Definitely will be rebooking for our next trip to the Oregon Coast.

Nehalem River Front

Excellent views from every bed and every room. You can watch sunrise from your bed (bring eye coverage if you want to sleep in). Stylishly designed. Well stocked kitchen. We could have used more storage options (nightstands/dressers etc). Huge dock that we used for our large boat and kayaks and paddle boards.

Great place!

We have rented alot of places at the beach and this is our new favorite. Love the view so much. Very nice beds and lots of them. If you plan to cook while you are there I'd make sure you bring all you need the spice cabinet is pretty much nothing like didn't even have pepper. But they have all the dishes and cooking stuff you'll need. Make sure you read the intro info cause I didn't see the part about the gate code. The people who rent it were so fast and responding and helping me to get in. Awesome customer service. We will definitely be renting this place again.

Parents with teens

This house was ALMOST perfect for the 4 of us- I do wish there was another bathroom but my 15 yr old and 17 yr old were great sports about sharing with their parents. The place is beyond beautiful and has been maintained very well. You really feel like you are in nature and there are so many wonderful hiking trails- not to mention beaches close by. If you get a chance- see the lowest tide at Manzanitas Beach for a surreal experience. Will definitely go back.

Outstanding view!!! Well Appointed!!!

This property was obviously furnished by a professional. But the view and deck are what make it so special. My husband fished the Nehalem River for 20 yrs and is now confined to a wheelchair so the deck was great. Parking is limited in front of house so you need to have guests park across the highway where there is a lot of space. Be sure to get "both" codes before arriving.

Great View, Horrible Road and Neighbor Noise

Great river views and easy walk into town. However, the property is right on HWY 101 so traffic noise was pretty much constant. We also had the misfortune to have two sets of very noisy neighbors in the vacation rental right next to us. After three nights of very little sleep we contacted the rental agency and they took care of the problem - so don't be as patient as us if you have the same issue! Be prepared for very small bedrooms - luggage was kept in the main room as the bedrooms were mainly the beds.

Perfect Home Base

Awesome property! We were down to fish and crab for a long weekend. This place was the perfect home base. The whole place is so well equipped and having access to our own dock was such a treat. Beds were super comfortable. The whole place is in great condition. We loved all the cool, high quality finishings in the house. Will definitely be back! Highly recommend!

Annual Fishing Trip

A group of friends who have been making the same trip every year to Nehalem Bay for fishing for 20 years. This is the first year staying in the Wild River Run House and all six agreed we will come back here next year as well, adding the house to our tradition.

Great place

This place is awesome. Well equipped, great layout, easy to find and the windows across the front of the house give a great view of the river and the sunrise. My out of state customers loved it. We all stood on the deck and watched the fishing boats troll by while the sun came up over the mountains. I would recommend this house.

Nehalem house

We had a great stay at this home in nehalem. We were there to fish and relax, and it was perfect for both! The house has plenty of sleeping, a beautiful view of the bay/river. It was well equipped to cook meals in, and close to order out. We Plan to go back next year.

Had Some Issues

This is a hard review because our stay was great to a point. Check In instructions were easy and explained everything we needed to know. The house is right on the 101 so there is A LOT of traffic going by. The house is well stocked and was clean. Our problem came the 2nd night when we had Ants turn up on my daughters beds and then all over the floor in the separate bedroom. Our girls slept on the couch and we were leaving the next morning so we let the owners know and they replied quickly to let us know they would send someone. So it was good the first night but took a turn for the worst the second night
