Best Float House EVER

This place is AMAZING!!! Plenty of room, updated house, right on the river, and the best part? You can literally walk to Lonestar Tube that is 1. Easily the raddest tube rental place I’ve been to and 2. Has a restaurant with awesome bar food. 10/10 - can’t wait to book this place again!!

Family Reunion full of fun

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a great time here renting both homes as part of a small family reunion. Although a quick trip it was packed with fun and lots of conversation! Loved the property and the area! Beautiful views and the house had everything we needed to cook meals for all of our family!

Within walking distance to tub rentals and an awesome hamburger / live music joint, this location was perfect!

Friends and Family FUN

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay on River Road! Southern Comfort and Lazy A were very spacious, clean and well stocked with kitchen items and towels. The living areas, kitchens and porches had plenty of seating for large groups. Southern Comfort has wonderful views of the river. All had a great time hanging on the porches, floating in front of the house and kayaking down the river. There are a lot of stairs and steep driveway, but all manageable. There is a small campsite next door, but was more entertainment than a bother! Would definitely book one or both houses again. Thank you for sharing your homes for others to enjoy New Braunfels and Gruene!

Guadaloupe house

Houses are located in the heart of the Guadaloupe river floating area (near 2nd crossing) & next to Sams Guadaloupe campsite. Houses were clean, updated, and as advertised. There are a lot of stairs to access Southern Comfort house, so it might not be ideal if anyone in your group isn't overly mobile. The property has very few trees so I'd recommend a tarp if you to create your own shade. Otherwise, it was a very good experience.

Right in the middle of it all

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was somewhat unhappy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This house sits right next to a campsite that also has tube rental. Depends what you are looking for. During the weekdays it was pretty quite and peaceful but the weekends brought lots of activity. Even with no trespassing signs there were lots of people who ignored them and got out of the river and walked through the yard where we gathered, asked us for booze, money and rides. So not as peaceful as we had envisioned. The 2 houses are also split by River road so on the weekend walking between the 2 was not easy. Southern comfort was updated and had a large living area for our family of 20 to gather in. Well equipped kitchen and updated bathrooms. The Lazy A was more rustic. The upstairs porch is long and thin and had a good breeze but difficult for all to gather. The lower porch was large but needs some ceiling fans or maybe bring your own.
