Quintessential NY apartment

New kitchen and bathroom- tiny but served its purpose. Significant homeless population outside but we always felt safe. Super convenient location. Beds were comfy and sheets were soft.Don’t be fooled by apartment number - this is a 3rd floor walk up! A lot of steps

Disappointed and Misled – Serious Safety Concerns Ignored Our experience with this property was extremely disappointing/ stressful. Nowhere in the listing did it mention that the apartment was on the 3rd floor with no elevator and a narrow stairwell - critical information, as we were traveling with a family member who has a neurological disorder. Even more concerning was the condition of the flooring—severely slanted throughout the unit. My family member nearly fell into the wall while simply walking down the hallway, which posed a serious safety hazard. Also, the condition of the furniture/ linens were unacceptable. The pink sectional shown in the listing was dirty and stained, far from what we expected based on the photos and description. I attempted to contact the property manager to address these safety concerns and explain that we could not stay at the property under these conditions. I was assured someone would follow up, but I never received responses. Despite being polite and patient, neither the owner nor his manager ever got back to us. We also reached out to VRBO for assistance and are still waiting for a resolution. Because of the unsafe conditions, we had to book 2 hotel rooms at our own expense. This experience was both emotionally and financially exhausting. I hope others can avoid a similar situation by being aware of these critical details that were unfortunately omitted from the listing.

Very Dirty and Horrible Host

Having stayed in many Vrbos this one was an absolute nightmare. Upon arrival I had to contact the host numerous times to get the check in information. After finally getting the check in info we proceeded up 3 flights of skinny stairs. Once in the unit we noticed the entire unit leans in one direction making for a unique walk around the unit experience. After checking out the unit I noticed that all the beds had an abundance of hair on them. You can tell that they did not clean the floors in the entire unit. After contacting the host and sending numerous photo’s, it took them a day to respond with an apology and asked what they could do to make it right. All I asked was for new bedding to be dropped off and I would make the beds. That was the last time they ever responded to me. I tried contacting them numerous time’s via text and messaging through the Vrbo app but never got a response. I ended up taking all the bedding to the laundromat to wash them myself and had to clean the unit. The amount of filth on the floors was nasty.The couch was so dirty that I ended up putting a sheet over it before sitting down. All the furniture in the unit is so cheap and wobbly. To say this unit was dirty is an understatement. I highly do not recommend this place to anyone. It is a very dirty unit and will make you cringe every time you walk in.
